I see Happiness Stan and Grumpy Mort are their usual selves. I am pretty sure I have stood next to each of them at a party - but not for long. Southgate is a local lad, worked very hard to progress through the academy and ended up very good. He didn't really start that great. He always speaks well and is a credit to our club and our area. And by the way his dad worked with my sister back in the day. I expect these two booed Dwight Gayle at the match today - ah, wait, just maybe they don't actually attend matches.

He played for Selsdon Juniors but lived in Crawley. Unless he moved locally. I've read someone mention he lived in new addington. It's true he doesn't have much of a soft spot for us. He did work very hard. I know at least his year group had to do chores at Alan Smith's house at the weekend. Wash the car, sweep up leaves. What a cvnt. But he did make Southgate captain and that was a good choice.

This. When has he ever shown any loyalty to us? Was he around the club during our two Admin seasons? Was he f*ck. What was GS meant to do - buy us out of administration? He is a local lad worked his way up through the academy and became one of Palace's youngest ever captains (23 i think). He then left us for a decent fee and had a successful career with other clubs. I don't believe he has ever bad mouthed Palace at all merely his career has to date not been in London. He may not be the best manager in the world , but he seems to be doing ok with England ( or certainly no worse than others have done in the last 20 years). I have nothing but respect for the guy and have fond memories of him as a hones, hard working player for CPFC. I remember his goal against Pompey even now!! Can't see why anyone connected with CPFC would have such negative views IMHO

Didnt see him lending his voice to the club at either points when we were going to the wall, when in 2000 he was a high profile player and England international. When has he ever shown us any loyalty, or even that he has any kind of affection for the club? Attended games off his own back, been around the club in any way. It's fine, he doesn't need to, but it's a two way street. As far as i'm concerned he was a decent player for us, left, and that's that.

Where can I find that please?

That's fine and he's not claimed or relied on us for anything more. I remember hoping Ian Wright would turn up at ours in Admin I but I think he went to Burnley when they were really sh1t. Charming. I don't think he put a pound in, then said we'd be better off in the 3rd tier around about when either Hart and Freedman saved us or Freedman saved us with KG and Augustien. Since we looked like sticking in the prem for a bit he's mentioning us as much as possible. Some are for respecting on the pitch and no further.

After the Lombardo shirt-swap i was happy to let bygones be bygones for the Highbury badge kissing and performance that send us down. Then, when a free agent and looking for a club, he turned down his old boss, and only manager to give him a break when he all but done in the game, and a team full of youth team kids that grew up worshipping him, to go and play for... BURNLE?!! says it all. He genuinely has zero affection for us. He gets sent up by MOTD and 5Live to be a 'palace correspondent' on games, and it's so half hearted... But i digress... Re a list, i've no idea, i'm going off recollection, and having just said all that about Wright, i've a feeling he at least did put in a donation. Bright certainly did, Thomas, and Matt Jansen i recall, who was still only aroudn 23 at the time. Sure there were others from the 80s team too, just that by my recollection i never heard Southgate being mentioned, and in 99 he was arguably our highest profile ex player still playing...

Can't stand him. Utterly s*** manager that's only got a job because he was unemployable a t club level and scurried off with the other mediocrities in the England set up. He will be shown up for the weak, uninspirning loser he is at russia. So glad he's not Palace manager (hes been linked often enough). Useless. Well you never know what the future may hold. Roys not getting any younger and we seem to be developing a taste for failed England managers!
