Window after window, manager after manager. Roy will join the likes of Pulis and Allardyce in leaving at the end of the season due to our terrible record in transfer dealings.

Two players were unable to join because we left it so late that their clubs couldn't find a replacement in time when we had the whole month. We try and look tough in negotiations and then wet our pants when time starts to run out.

Could you elaborate how out transfer dealings are terrible? Last January we spent more than anyone else. This January we have signed 3 players with potential, which is what fans were wanting after complaining we weren’t scouting Europe for young players.
Can’t please everybody.

I genuinely can't see what all the fuss is about with our "lack of transfer activity". We have a good squad as it is, strengthened in all departments apart from the GK positon (central defence, midfield and a striker), and we have a great deal of key players to come back into the side.

Granted, the window could always be "better" but we end the window stronger than when we started by quite some distance which can't be said of many teams around us.

4 fit attacking players (Wilf, Andros, Sorloth and Benteke). The other 4 in the squad (Puncheon, Wickham, RLC, Sako) will be lucky to play again this season.

It's strange that there are so many posters now commenting about the transfer window that have not been active on here lately.

THANK YOU.

I don't think anyone even cares we run out of time on our main target from Lille who was a defensive midfielder. He could be second coming of Patrick Vieira, right now, until the summer at least, it doesn't matter.

We needed a striker with potential, we got that. We needed a striker to come in and immediately take a first team spot, Sturridge or Walcott would of been perfect, didn't get that.

We needed a winger to push Zaha and Townsend/replace a now injured Sako, we didn't get that.

Why in this situation would you not send RLC back to Chelsea and loan in Sturridge? Yes he's an injury risk but if you get him along with Sorloth I'd say that's a safe play.

If you buy Walcott now and chuck a lot of money at him, it means we won't get our pants pulled down when Zaha ineveitably leaves in the Summer. Okay so we get 60 million for Zaha. You think we'll still be able to pick up the likes of Walcott for 25? Hell no. Clubs will know what we have and a basic Championship winger will cost 35 million.

If we don't go down this season, I can see Hodgson and Zaha leaving in the Summer and I have no confidence we'll replace them correctly.

You're forgetting Lee and Mutch.

I know, one post of undiluted bilge after another.

I have just popped out of this site to have a look at the ins and outs of all 20 clubs. Which of the clubs in our mini league did better than us?

Seriously, we are in a good place.

I can only apologise to Roy for having so many numpty fans.

Poor Roy, asking for 5 first team players and not getting one. 3 Prospects. It was a poor window, lets not dress it up. He'll be gone at the end of the season, as with all our other good managers who werent backed

Dont let Cabaye go

You should follow Sunderland, they do what you want.
Roy wanted to keep RLC.
Sturridge is a known crock and Walcott wanted to go to Everton.
Not everyone wants to come to Selhurst.
