He seems to have 3 players hovering round him like thugs often nowadays. They normally have him and we normally get a free kick.
If he could only find a way to release the ball to one of our players we would be able to exploit the space. Not easy I know, but we should really work on this in training.
He was so confined last night even with his extraordinary talent he was struggling.
Still skinned them quite a few times though, but didn't then release.
If he learns a way, he will be world class.

Is it just me, or is Wilf been completely off the boil at the minute. I'm not sure if its because we as a fanbase hold him to such high standards, but the past 5 or 6 games he's been non existent. Fails to release the ball after beating players (which is so frustrating), going over too easily at times (granted not always), and his general end product has been below par. Perhaps its been compounded by Andros' recent form, but for me Wilf seems to be shot of confidence, and definitely not the player he was last season.

I think it’s just you.
Not as good as last Season.?
I suggest an “Eye Test” at Specsavers.

I didn't see the game but surely if he had three players surrounding him at all times there must have been a couple of ours completely unshackled

Indeed our central defenders.

Knowing there was always three around him last night he should have tried to pass, but consistently just dribbled in to them, fell over and appealed to the ref. This is an area of his game he needs to improve. (I don't want to knock him because generally he shows more thought than he did last night)!

I have no evidence for this at all but he's so naturally gifted I think managers have "gone light" on training/drilling him, I think that maybe partly why he still has his "attitude". Like I say I have no evidence for this, just a feeling.

Didn't loo at the race last night but saying that we started a little sluggish as a team , once Collins gave him a crunch he didn't really fancy it after that . as the game went on the Spam plan of crowding him and giving him a hoof worked as it broke down play and Wilf gets rattled quite easy . He cant carry the team every week but could be shrewder as a player and I am sure with age this he will

To claim he's 'not the player he was last season' is baffling; ever since coming back from injury this season, he's reached a whole new level both in terms of goals and assists contributed, but also in the finesse of his general play. I do agree that he's really faded in the last few games, but every player goes off the boil now and then, and I'm sure he'll be back to his best soon.

Pretty much this and without him even being poor I think it's likely we'd be worse off. He finds space, an edge or beats a man at the right time and its points to us. They have to be on alert for 95 minutes. How many players do we have where we can say that? Cheek and even Sako are out, again.

Sadly been a bit quiet of late but surely Newcastle Sunday should be a game he can shine or maybe a couple of games as impact sub is an idea trouble is first teamed bit thin on ground and parish once again dragging his feet on new signings
