We’ve known we’ve needed a striker for over a year now so if we weren’t to get one it would be negligent at best. Love how we keep stockpiling those centre backs though. Once they’re all fit well have six/seven!

As everyone knows, you can chuck centre backs up front and then lump the ball up to them. So we are actually stockpiling centre forwards.

I believe that Steve Parish has been doing his level best to get the players in that we need even though he's constantly accused of doing the opposite. I would drop Benteke from the squad. If he doesn't want to play for us or just doesn't care then let him play in the reserves. Give a youngster a chance. He'll at least give a 100% because he'll want to prove a point and let's face it he couldn't do any worse. I only want players in my team's first eleven and squad who will give their very best. Not a lot to ask for.

Steve parish will come out with the same old tired excuses after the window has shut. Agents asking to much players wages to high etc etc. Well weve been here 5 seasons so we should all know how its gonna pan out.

We have no youngsters coming through so we need an experienced prem striker at least plus a goal keeper. The back line is well covered now.

We will buy cheap or a reject from everton and then wonder why its happened again. If we cant afford to compete in the transfer window then maybe we should just accept we are not a premiership side and just enjoy life back in the championship.

Yes agreed same excuses again.
Five Years in the Top Flight, good chance of a sixth.
Probably buy a cheap Centre Forward or Centre Half again like Christian and Mamadou.
Diabolical.
Wish we were Leeds moaning about our Badge.

Ok lets agree to disagree. So your telling me your happy with the stiker situation? We have been in this position for strikers all season long.

Yes we have filled our squad with players most people have never heard of. Thats all they are so far this transfer window.

But is that the way to grow as a club?

I really do hope we progress and will suport the team no matter what but why o why is it taking so long to fill a positiin that has been vacant for so bloody long.

One has to be grateful that some of the people posting on this site are not managing our club.

I seem to recall Jordan's comment about fans complaining about the price of a burger.

This is why I don’t post regularly on here anymore. Self-entitled, whingebag fans who think we should be bigger than we already are.

Saying we should be back in the Championship reeks of a defeatist attitude. But I guess you like being miserable, right?

Damn, how could we have missed out on Giroud and to Chelsea, what have they ever done.

And as for Sturridge, we should have got him in, sod the loan rules, we could have got him in without telling anyone he is on loan. The Board have dropped the ball there. Let's hope we get the bid for Lukaku right, or we're down.

Lukaku is s***. If we haven't signed Harry Kane and Manuel Neuer in the next two hours Parish should go.

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

Mr Palaceman why do you bother coming on here when you clearly know nothing about football.

I thought I did know everything but over the years, reading posts on the Hol, I realise, in the words of Manuel, I know nuffing...

That's exactly the way to grow the club. Our first 11 is very good. We're not going to get quality, well known players to come in asx'squad' players. We need a few young hungry players who can act as cover and have the potential,to be very good players. Even if these 2 players turn out to be awful, one goes back af did if season and thd other cost us peanuts. We do still need a quality forward and goalkeeper but very pleased with these 2 signings.
