He should look pretty good against Maidstone though. So should most league players.

Exactly ... my point was that he looked consistent with most league players!

Incidentally, MUFC have just borrowed one of our U23s ... Andre Coker. He looked good too!

This in a nutshell.

Over priced , over paid and feeling like a lottery winner I expect.

A few good free kicks and set pieces in Championship does not make a PL regular starter

He hasn't become a bad player, just a player not worth £40k a week.
I expect he is quite happy.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Would you be? I genuinely believe he would happily halve that income to play regularly in any premiership 1st XI. And do you think he gets off on the thought that every time he doea a search against his name all he finds is a stream of vicious invective from the fans of his own team?

The sooner he gets farmed out to mid table Championship the better for all concerned.

Are you saying that it's the fans fault he's not a good enough player for the PL because of some comments on a forum? He gets off lightly compared to other players.

the fact is he should never have been bought.

Pardew's fault, pure and simple.

There was never a natural position for him in the team (he's not a No10) and if he struggled to get a game at QPR (who were bottom of Prem at the time) why would it be different with us.

Additionally he had a minor injury when we signed him.

We know Champ club's can't pay £40k a week on wages so we need to do a deal just to allow him game time. Even £10k a week contribution to wages would be a positive result to Palace and might lead to a transfer in the summer.

Clearly all the £5m transfer fee is already written off.

Whilst I appreciate not all transfers will work out - this was a non starter from day 1.

No, I think he referring to the quote about Mutch being 'happy' with the situation. And he probably isn't. Obviously he's on great money but you only get one career and his is being wasted.

You don't have to feel sorry for him because he's being paid a fortune, I just doubt this is how he wanted it to work out.

Yes that is obviously what I was saying.

Southampton, 100 reads of my post and still i wouldn't have reached your interpretation. I have had conversations with my wife that followed similar lines.

My thoughts exactly.

If you were a conspiracy theorist you may wonder if other parties apart from the player and his agent benefited from this transfer.

Some players make you stand up.

Mutch gets you sitting down.

40k a week for this talentless clod - Pardew forked out, but so did Harry Redknapp for him at QPR which made me think he'd be OK cos Harry's a judge - or was a judge, the Mutch signing was probably a sign that Harry was starting to lose his touch.

We'd better hope that any manager thinking about taking him on loan doesn't read this thread to see what the self styled best supporters in the Premiership are saying about one of their own players.
