But I wouldn't be surprised to see him top goalscorer in the Eredivisie in a few years Theo Bongonda from Celta Vigo to Zulte Waregem Guido Carillo from Monaco to Southampton Lois Diony from St Etienne to Bristol Renato Steffen from Basel to Wolfsburg Valentin Stocker from Hertha to Basel Breckalo from Stuttgart to Wolfsburg Jacob Bruun Larsen from Dortmund to Stuttgart (with the condition that he gets over his injury) Michal Zyro from Wolverhampton to Charlton (same condition as above) Ujah from Liaoning to Mainz Jairo Samperio from Mainz to Las Palmas Federico Palacios from Leipzig to Nurnberg Patrick Ebert from free agent to Ingolstadt Orellana from Valencia to Eibar Jony from Malaga to Sporting Gijon Obviously Coutinho to Barcelona Stafylidis from Augsburg to Stoke(much needed replacement for the old and tiring Pieters) Fabian Reese from Schalke to Furth Konstantin Rausch from Koln to Dynamo Moscow Jurgen Locadia from PSV to Brighton Theo Walcott from Arsenal to Everton Oliver Kragl from Crotone to Foggia Jan Mlakar from Fiorentina to Maribor Moussa Sow to Bursaspor Robert Beric from Anderlecht to St Etienne Jonathan Pitroipa from free agent to Royal Antwerp All the guys Sparta Rptterdam brought (Dabney dos Santos, Fred Friday, Muhren )- mind you, they're now dead last in the Eredivisie with small chances to be saved. You're in for a surprise Ntep from Wolfsburg to St Etienne Koziello from Nice to Koln Donis Avdijaj from Schalke to Roda Alex Pritchard from Norwich to Huddersfield Rangelo Janga from Trencin to Gent Alberto Bueno from Porto to Malaga N'Koudou from Tottenham to Burnley Guidetti from Celta to Alaves Herve Kage from Kortrijk to Karabukspor Roger Martinez from Jiangsu to Villareal Mirallas from Everton to Olympiakos Gelson Dala from Sporting to Rio Ave
Joao Mario- certainly not worth all that fee, though could be decent Ji Dong Won from Augsburg to Duisburg. He's a pretty bad striker Samu Garcia from Levante to Malaga Hernan Perez from Espanyol to Alaves Rekip from Benfica to Crystal Palace (he was decent as a winger, but is being groomed for professional football in the role of central midfielder, his value is up because of the things he used to do AS A WINGER) Jose Sosa from Milan to Trabzonspor (he's already 32, why pay 3,5 million for him?) Fousseni Diabate from Ajaccio to Leicester. I'm risking this one cause he has just scored in the Cup for Leicester, but I can't see him making it in top football, 22 is not so young anymore Francis Coquelin to Valencia- decent player, but certainly not worth 14 million Jo to Japan for 10 million. Pure madness for a modest 32 year old player like Jo, the largest fee ever paid by a Japanese club. You should have asked me every transfer period, cause I was right about everything. But even though Welbeck, Chicharito, di Maria and Depay were great after leaving United, you'll still find people who will say that they were not good enough for United. I mean, it's all about perception. I could give some people a tone of rationality and they still couldn't see it. There were some who said that de Bruyne and Salah were not good enough for Chelsea, when they clearly were (at those ages, you have to take into consideration the age, it's very important)

Edited by mattteo (27 Jan 2018 6.02pm) Is it my ass. You raved about Niang last season. (Just to name 1) Said he was better than Zaha and would walk this division. You were told by someone who was a milan fan that he would struggle and basically said they were wrong. Then he was garbage. You list off players like they are going out of fashion, give it the big 'I am' and get all hurt and defensive when you get called out. You boast stats on goals per minute like football is FIFA18 and players can swap between clubs and score for fun... Give it a rest will you?

I think people are trying to compare different styles of strikers with each other. As I see it we have had links with 3 different `styles` of strikers: 1. Targetmen (Competition to Tekkers)for example Ulloa and Babacar 2. More traditional number 9 out and out strikers, quicker finishers, more like a Gayle type. Would offer someone to play off the Targetman. For Example Dembele and Marriott. 3. More playmeker strikers. Would play behind Tekkers more creative with through balls etc but could support in the box number 10's like Eder. I have a hunch Rakip might play in this role.

That is why I am hoping that we sign 2 strikers, Tekkers type and something else. Put pressure on Tekkers to perform without changing the team framework and something different should neither work. Gives us options and also nobody resting on their laurels.

My preference is for Babacar to give Tekkers competition. He has been looked at for a long time by us, not a first team regular at Fiorentina. His contract ends soon so it buts him in the window where Fiorentina will think they can get decent money for him and he fits the profile of being a younger player who can develop

I didn't say he was better than Zaha. But maybe will be in the future, Niang is just 22 and playing in top divisions for 3-4 years.

More composed, better in the air, braver, more skilful and has much more movement in the box than the excellent benteke!! Age on his side and plenty of room for improvement. Looks like a handful.

You just probably know more than the professionals working with him at Watford. I am not saying that clubs don't get it wrong, plenty of examples of that, sometimes signings just don't work out at certain places, but all things being equal I would say the likelyhood is you aren't right about him and Watford are.

Ok, but there's a difference in them refusing to pay 12 million for him and Icepick saying that I was wrong because he was garbage. Perhaps he's not worth that much, perhaps they have a better system of evaluation than I do, that doesn't mean he's a bad player. Using words like "garbage" and "you were soo wrong" is just unfounded. Just like for Boakye- he may or may not be Premier League class. That doesn't mean it's wrong to buy him. Coming from Serbia he'd cost at most 7-8 million. If he won't be quite up there in his performances, that fee should be easily recuperated. Edited by mattteo (28 Jan 2018 11.15am)
