The real (burger) meat of the story doesn't concern Murray or Parish at all.
I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like. |

No. The Mail are just s*** stirring for the sake of it otherwise they would mention that Murray and Parish are amongst 32 small investors in the company and neither are directors so have no influence over any aspects of how the company is run

Steve Parish, Glenn Murray, and Wayne Routledge open a chicken shop together - sounds like the set-up for a joke

I presume dirtybird is just the chicken variation of Dirty Burger, which seems to be the trendy way of describing 'artisan' beefburger places. In other words, trendy burger places

I think you are confusing assets with income. Agencies don’t need to hold much in the way of assets. The main one is probably goodwill but that may not be valued very high in such a fickle ‘industry’. Thanks. I’m aware Dave that agents don’t own footballers but if you have a player contracted to an agent I was wondering if that’s considered an “asset” for the company or can assets only be physical objects? Must be a challenge valuing goodwill in football like you say.

I assume that I must be invisible as I've already said that the assets that you are referring to are cash and debtors and not footballers.

Not gonna lie - I did have a second take on this. I thought the potential for a conflict of interest with Salthouse had a ring of truth. There is a potential conflict - Parish should have answered the question "But asked on Thursday if his shares in Dirtybird represented a conflict of interest when Salthouse has been involved in at least eight Crystal Palace transfers since 2015, Parish declined to comment."

Harry - assets don't have to be bricks and mortar, things such as intellectual property rights, and patents etc can be very valuable. However, for an agent if they earn x and it goes through their company and they take it all as a wage then the company has no asset. Goodwill is difficult to value - that would be say the brand coca cola, it's recognised all over the world etc. For a footballer that would be complex. For an agent with say 10 premier league footballers I believe the assets would be No 2 and 4 is very difficult to estimate and I guess most companies will be very conservative

Parish tweeted that he hadn’t been asked for a comment so possible that that’s artistic license on their part. Sorry Midlands Eagle. Not invisible. Surprised given agents fees and the scale of transfers they only have £3.7 million if the company is as large as the Mail infers . Maybe the surplus is invested in chickens? No doubt the financial arrangements of many agents and others in football are some what convoluted.

How can there be a conflict of interest as the two are small shareholders and neither have any say in the running of the company. I wouldn't mind betting that Steve Parish has investments in loads of companies and probably doesn't have a clue who his co-shareholders are in them
