I was very impressed with the content of his first Palace interview. He managed to compliment the manager, the club, us supporters and he knew about the Brighton rivalry.

It costs very little to do a bit of research and create a very good first impression. If he can play half as well we may have a real gem.

Loved the brighton part. The Polish league has very. Very passionate fans. He did say that the one reason he joined palace was the fact he felt at home as the fans are very dedicated. Plus rivalry in Polish football league is very serious not just for the fans, but for the players there.

There is a huge financial incentive to play this lad over Kelly. As it stands, Kelly goes for nothing in summer (so is like a loan player, but without a parent club bleating on about playing him).

If this guy delivers, he could be important for Poland at the World Cup, whose one weakness seems to be in defence. They have a group they should get through comfortably (Senegal, Colombia, Japan).

A colleague in Warsaw only said Jach was ``strong'' (well, he also said young and tall, but we know that). Only time will tell if he's anywhere near the requisite level to play for us now...but a good half a season and a good world cup, and our reported £2.64 million outlay could look like an absolute steal.

It's a shame we're not in a position to take a tiny bit more risk on playing him, as I suspect Roy will have to stick with Kelly as the more experienced, PL-ready player.

So Senegal Japan and Columbia is an easy group Poland should get through? Eh

It seems like Dougie has been aiming for young players with potential for a big sell-on. Jako is cheap so chances are in todays market he will sell for a lot more if anyone wants him in the future, Eldin has a 10m buy clause so the loan works well to see if he is worth that and Dembele could be worth 50m upwards in a few years.

I'm quite pleased with this transfer window so far, I think it's the way to go. No disrespect to the new signings but if they all turn out s***, it's not like we've spent a load, some of our big name big money signings in the past haven't been too great so I don't think there's much more of a risk doing it like this. And if they're good, well then brilliant we've got some youngsters for bargain prices who may be with us long term or if not we may even make some money on them for a change.

JJ and Erdal definitely look like they've got potential really looking forward to seeing how they do.

I think the cheaper signings are coming in earlier because the price differential is lower in negotiations than when I hope the more proven players are coming in.

There's clearly a need for both.

I'll have a fiver on it with you, squire. They are rated 7 in the world, did very well in qualifying, and have a top-tier goalscorer.

Yeah fair point. We're still a striker and a keeper short of me being truly happy with this window.

Although rumors persist we are close on both those fronts too.

Freedman it seems has found us some real bargains and is making the most of our currently limited funds. Just what we need. Hats off to him, fingers crossed these players strengthen us and better still one or two turn in to gems.

This I don't get. Few things are overrated more then experience. If he's good enough he's good enough regardless of what position we're in. It's not like he's 16 and we'll need to plan around his school times.
