it certainly pays the club more then us mere fanfolk buying tickets..... Can't say I disagree with you but if honest, we should realize the game is now about tv, not fans. Originally posted by Selhurstboys
I find the change to the ManUre game completely out of order. We've already had the Tossum game moved to the Monday night the week before. That's two home matches moved to Monday night on the trot. TV planners are complete w***ers imo.

Changes just announced Man Utd home now Monday night Huddersfield away is still tricky as if they are still in the FA Cup it could move midweek anyway What is the story with the Liverpool game? Says it's subject to their potential involvement in Champions League, which is played the following week. Why would this affect an earlier kick off on Saturday??

More than likely Rudi. Thinking about it the only logical answer to this is that Sky intend to move it to Sunday or Monday if Liverpool are knocked out of CL. Looks like I'll be delaying getting train tickets sorted until that's cleared up. It really isn't about fans anymore!

Why would this affect an earlier kick off on Saturday?? As I understand it, the complication is that Chelsea-v Spurs is scheduled to be on tv on the Sunday at 4pm But if Chelsea, or Spurs make it through to the Champions League Quarter Finals, and they have to play their Champions League game on the Tuesday straight after, then Chelsea v Spurs would move (probably to the Saturday lunchtime slot, and Palace-Liverpool could take the Sunday 4pm slot.) That is just one possible scenario as I understand it. If Liverpool go out of Europe then potentially the CP-Liverpool game could possibly even move to the Monday. No-one really knows, and we won't know until the draw and scheduling is done for the CL Quarters. Would massively help if all the English teams get knocked out of Europe asap! I signed this - apologies if link is elsewhere. I have to come over from Ireland - the problems are obvious if the fixtures are constantly changed. Went to two matches last year, one was changed and I had to pay an extra 200 for flights.

Indeed, also one has to wait till the schedule is definite before booking travel, and as such paying much higher fares. Now they are seemingly introducing a "semi-definite", now that makes it easy. Saturday ..but, maybe, if.... Signed and contributed my coffee. Originally posted by ASCPFC

I have also signed. I know it used to be tricky in the old days with short notice for FA Cup 2nd replays etc, but you always knew that was possible. It is an utter ball ache having away games which were on a Saturday at 3pm moved to Monday or Friday nights, the tv companies could at least try and choose local fixtures for such slots

Also worth noting that the Huddersfield away game is also subject to change due to the FA Cup. Just a heads up for anyone going!
