The brain plays tricks on you- from seeing a white light in near death experiences to seeing ghosts and UFOs.

I'm not dismissing anything when it comes to UFOs, ghosts yes as I don't believe in life after death, near death experience has more or less a theory lack of oxygen to the brain.
Also, depending where in the world you are sometimes people see Jesus willing you towards the light, if your middle eastern its Allah, Buddhist buda etc..
If you you live in wales a sheep.

But there still is no conclusive evidence that we have been visited even with all the technology we have today.

Not to say we won't .

I suspect it was a hoax as well. However this was a US airbase it is possible they were testing an experimental aircraft like the stealth fighter. Just because it is a UFO doesn't mean it is aliens just unidentified.

Well, I did see a 'UFO' when I was a kid which was pretty persuasive but it is more what I have learned from reliable sources if there is such a thing.

The one I saw was the type that flies in a straight line but can then stop instantly and turn at right angles, eventually zooming off at an unimaginable speed.
I understand the issues with lone sightings of course. No one believes you for a start.

The question I always ask is, how much evidence are you likely to get?
And, what would it take to convince you that 'aliens' have been here?
Such questions are part of the problem with he whole subject.

My question is how far are they coming from?
What speed bar that of light can be achieved?
Why not say hello?
Bottom line no evidence.
Then there are all the theories, wormholes, dimensions et al, all needing a PhD in astro physics or something similar to understand.

My knowledge comes from star trek, however, I will say as a kid I saw a ghost with my friend, won't go into it memory fades but sure there's a perfectly rational explanation

That's just how the current world labels apparitions though due to its inability to comprehend what it may well be...surely? Is it really proof of life after death? or is it a memory/recording of a moment in time that replays itself?

Ghost is just a tag for something we dont know how to explain ....should they actually exist that is.

All we really need to understand is that we don't understand. That allows for all possibilities.

I think you nailed it there. Apparitions, is all they are.
What they are? again is down to interpretation, but I think under scientific examination most cases can be rationally explained

Have you seen the documentary ' Unacknowledged'? If not worth a look. Plenty of everyday service men and women are now coming out saying they've experienced stuff...hell even the former Defence Minister of Canada has admitted that they're here ...still undecided myself...but there's definitely a 'swell' of previously hidden witnesses coming to the fore because they know they wont immediately be laughed out of town and lose their jobs over it.

I know that people really do see dead people that seem as real as anything else. Of that, I've no doubt. Whether those people exist outside of the mind is far more doubtful.
