I’m quite fond of the blades. Great club. Hear hear - actually have time for both Sheffield clubs, TBH. However - I was there to see Paul Peschisolido's 5-miles-offside quarter final "goal" at Bramall Lane. Never forget :-)
Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune) |

Bramhall Lane was once a test cricket ground and had to be refurbished to what it is today. Do you know how this affected the fans, how long it took and whether it has full approval from the fans? I'm asking as Palace are in the position as the Blades in having to rebuild Selhirst Park Edited by adrian b (18 Jan 2018 7.29am)

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

sheff u have got the shytest club song I ever heard. it's by a comedy double act -- Cannon & Ball maybe OP? -- and the title is something like "we're following Sheffield United". So god awful I can't even find it on the internet. I like them for that, and the greasy chip butty song, their proper ground with a decent atmosphere, and because I have a good friend who supports them.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

I think they played Annie’s Song by John Denver at the Play Off Final, real get you in the mood for a fight song. Then the roof came off when Glad All Over boomed out, great memory.

Sheff Utd are a great club, but they're ALL great clubs - and Brighton and AFC Wimbledon are examples of what fan power can do and have shown everybody what football is really about - I hate both clubs btw but only up to a point. The Blades had a great side in the 70s with Tony Currie & co, came under back under Bassett again with Warnock - best chance of getting back to the Currie era with Wilder I reckon, but you may not be able to hold on to him. If he does go prematurely hope you get a decent replacement so you don't go backwards again.

I saw Sheffield United away at Sunderland early this season( I was visiting relatives) and got to say hello & best wishes to Palace's Jonny Williams as he began his ill-fated loan there. United had great and loud support and looked great going forward. Losing your play-maker through injury- can't remember his name- seems to have impacted. Don't worry about struggling to get all the references on here; I have started watching my local side Lincoln City and it took a few months to start feeling at home & familiar with all the names & history etc there. Best wishes to The Blades: I hope you come up and join us in the strange world of Premiership football.
