I wouldn't have been offended if you deemed that I should go to Specsavers.

Get rid of our one forward and buy the 2 WHU guys and you'll see a different Palace!
Throw in Austin and we've got a winning team that scores goals.

No thanks, he spends most of his time going to ground and insists on having a crap nickname on his shirt. And he gets paid double what he is worth.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

This should be banned. No nicknames, completely invented names, no first names, no changes to what they first have/had.

I'm looking at the likes of Aguero, "Jesus", Van Dijk, Moreno etc etc.

Optimistic as ever

I could see him getting goals with the way we play, but at a reported £115,000 a week (although some Spam fans have claimed it is £150,000pw) it does seem like a risk when added to the £15m (even 3 years at £115,000pw would be an additional £18m).

He has not done it at Spam but you don't become crap overnight. He is 29 though and maybe slowing down a bit?

he didn't become bad overnight, it's happened over the last few year after never fulfilling the promise he showed at ManUre. The guy can't hold the ball up and we only play one up front so won't fit into our system.

He was top scorer in the Bundesliga outside of players from Bayern and Borussia Dortmund in the last few years.
When was this becoming bad you speak of????????

Since Hernandez turned up at West Ham and did nada. He's a risk - getting old and expensive. Remember how Michael Owen's career declined swiftly? I think this is a similar scenario - losing his best asset (speed) and his other attributes not compensating.

And much as I enjoy reading your commentary matteo, I do think its a bit silly to blame Moyes for Hernandez' downturn in form. I had West Ham mates moaning about him way before Moyes joined sometime in November.

I think what Moyes did at Everton for so many years points to a competent manager in the functional football mode (see Allardyce/Pulis). He could take down West Ham but to be fair they were in the relegation zone when he took over...

Being reported that Man Utd are casting eyes in his direction.
W.Ham paid £16 Mill for him and it hasn't worked out for the lad.
Just hasn't looked fit to me.
