Take the job with the view of claiming some form of discrimination, which in turn will result in a large cash payout, which in turn will put them in administration. Plus take pictures of you pooing in Chris Hughton’s desk.

Ok... Maybe not the best time to start this thread given the result tonight but let's put that aside.... Ok so I've been asked to put my CV in for a job. As some on here know I suffered a serious injury to my leg following a car accident 20 months ago which has left me unable to run and return to my job in frontline Policing. Seeing as the only reason I joined 17 years ago was to be on the frontline it has essentially ruined my Policing career. So anyway this new job is at a Premiership football club. I can't go into details but it's an important but demanding role that pays very good money (alot more than i'm on now) and comes with perks to (company vehicle, mobile, credit card etc) The role would require me to wear the clubs tie... and occasionally the club's training top and coat... So here's the hard bit.... The job is at Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club!! What would you do?? My first thought on reading that opener was to wonder what you were going to come out with/as next. It must have been really, really hard for you to admit on this site that you want to join the other side, and to open yourself up to scorn and ridicule, if not downright abuse from your former 'friends'. Instead, you have found most on here to be understanding and supportive of your proposed change - which is just how it should be.

This could be a great opportunity for KBLF to sort out policing issues with BHA and liaising with Sussex police. And perhaps the job would give the opportunity of liaising with people from other clubs i.e. Palace, so it may improve your chances of sorting Palace policing issues.

Kenny, I live and work among the Delusionals. A good supply of Palace socks does the trick. You can wear them without outwardly offending any of them but they give you that warm glow of loyalty and underhandness that is both rewarding and satisfying. Palace pants are probably for another thread.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Dear KBLF, You have been offered an opportunity to influence many things at Brighton, - please take it. Please also keep your ST/Membership of Palace to allow you to ensure that the upbringing of KBLF children is as it should be. I am sure that you will not betray yourself either at work or on this forum. Good luck and best wishes.

Being a copper was treading a tightrope. Coming out of the closet is marginal, ( I understand acceptable, and even applauded these days ) But wearing seaweed attire is simply pimping yourself out. Go for it

Go for it, take their money and spend a small part of it on a Palace season ticket. I assume that it is in security there. You could spend your time banning their fans for standing up or refusing to sing along to the club anthem. Would be great fun pissing off their fans.

Take the job, and enjoy it.
You're asking me what it's all about, and I can't tell you because I don't know what's going on myself. |

Some great comments on here thank you!! Made me chuckle! I still need to get through the interview first but financially it's a no brainer and I have the family and a mortgage to think about. Don't worry about keeping the KBLF children on the right path... The eldest two already have season tickets with me in the Whitehorse.... The younger two will have as well as soon as they're old enough!!
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Gotta take it - rivalry aside, you've got a family to provide for. I've always said I don't want Brighton to disappear - they are the ying to our yang (if it was Millwall, of course, I'd suggest you steer well clear) Maybe with your police history you could give them some tips on how to control a game without treating every opposing fan like a potential Osama Bin Laden?
