Keeper - upgrade wanted but should not expect the keeper to compensate for dodgy centre-backs.
Centre-backs: need at least one with Dann out for rest of season. Should not use Riedewald here or press full-backs into the centre.
Midfield: we have Cabaye, Miliovjevic, Riedewald, McArthur, Schlupp or van Aanholt, Loftus-Cheek, what's the problem? Cover for Milivojevic maybe, nobody else is as good at f***ing up opposition breakaways as him (saw that tonight).
Wingers: Townsend, Zaha, and Bakary Sako; losing Zaha f***s us right up and Townsend seemed not to function without him alongside. Longer term the question "who could replace Wilf?" is an important and probably expensive one.
Centre-forward: need someone who's not likely to get arrested for loitering. Sako is probably our most improved player under Hodgson, but I still don't think he's a centre-forward.

Against a Pulis version of Boro you'd have to play Wilf just to avoid a replay. Nobody else could break them down and they still think Bumfluff is a striker so won't score themselves.

Van Aanholt is not a winger and Riedewald had bottled it too many times to be trusted in my opinion. Leaves our only CM options as Cabaye, Mcarthur & Luka. (Loftus Cheek'll be gone at the end of the season remember) Considering we usually play 3 CM's, at least one more is crucial

Other than that, I agree with all of this

Well, we can deal with the end of the season in the summer. Cabaye might well also be offski. We need to stay up, first.

I wouldn't use Riedewald as a defender if he can do the stuff he did against City. Now that was only one game but wasn't that what we said about Sako when he started scoring goals?

I've edited to add in Loftus-Cheek but he needs to be used in a particular way, doesn't he? He's less effective out wide or down deep, he needs to get in through the middle and behind the striker. When he's absent we tend to use Wilf there and we all know where he should be.

About time everyone admitted it.......we weren't there to win. Write this one off, forget it and move on.
Our newly invigorated first team would have thrashed the weed they were s***e.

Just playing Tomkins instead of Delaney and that would've been a clean sheet. But if he'd been knackered for three weeks as a result we would have been really in the s***.

Let them bang their heads against the Pulis organized brick wall in the misery of Teeside in January. the League is far more important and all the aggro surrounding this match just turned me off. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Not only are our reserves not good enough, they don't seem to care much either. THIS is why I keep saying we will get relegated in the near future. All it takes is one bad injury or one dodgy signing and we have to fall back on this lot. The fact we gave Damien Delaney a contract extension in the summer says more than I ever could. We need at least half a dozen new faces and we need them quick. Not that I'm expecting much.

It wasn't our reserves we made 4 changes. The club has 7 players injured,2 went off tonight.
However we will not be buying 6 NEW players.
We certainly need a striker now,and a Goaly better than Wayne & Jules (Which will be difficult in January.)

Honestly, I couldn't have cared if we lost 7-0. I think a 2-1 loss is a great result. I think losing with the last goal being bundled over the line is a particularly good result as there are very little bragging rights. The real bragging will be who beats who in the league and who finishes above who - not this FA Cup comp. Brighton want to see us relegated. Thanks to Parish and another sh1t start to the season Brighton ALREADY have the bragging rights. You think they are going to cry if we won that cup round and went down? We ALREADY, thanks to Parish, have the humiliating honour of a PL record for the worst start to any season in 100 years. So f@ck off with your stupid whining about this FA Cup result. We need to put all of our very limited resources (thanks to Parish) into avoiding relegation and kicking Brighton's arse in the PL, because if we go down and they stay up, THAT my friends, will be something to brag and cry about and they will NEVER let us forget it.

This.
What is wrong with these snowflakes?
They seem to have lost sight of what really matters in football.

"FA Cup comp"?
Have you any idea about the history and tradition of this, the worlds greatest cup competition?
