Simple truth was that the better team won last night. Brighton hungered for the ball and the win much more so with Palace too slow to get out of the traps in first half. Injuries have also blighted players available that must surely rank as main concern to club now with oncoming Premiership fixtures proving to be much more important than any Cup competition. In the grand scheme of things, Murray might've done Palace a favour last night.

As for the team, well we played badly as we lacked any type of composition and it was even painful at times to watch, reminded me of the start of the season. Sako was the only one that seemed to want the win. Lets move on and brush this under... Edited by FanatiX (09 Jan 2018 12.24pm)

I don't think Glenn touched it either. The spin of the ball didn't change.

It came in off his thigh. His upper body was leaning in toward it but no contact that I could see. Why don’t we put somebody on the line by the post to prevent that?

Can't argue with that ^^^^ It was always going to be Glenn that scored the winner. Just shows how classy Palace fans are, compared to the Brighton fans who gave him all that abuse when he left them for us. Also thought the VAR wasn't very conclusive over the goal. Personally, if I'd been reffing, I would have disallowed the goal for handball, sent GM off for ungentlemanly behaviour and given a penalty to Palace in injury time ,...but Palace would still fvck it up. So, we concentrate on maintaining our Prem status and Brighton get a lovely trip to the North, that they really could have done without.
We could have done with Ron Challis in charge, even with VAR!

I'm just glad we don't have to witness uncle Roy putting a hip out doing a silly dance at Wembley.

He did the ball moved off his thigh but not enough for him to be sure it was going in so as good strikers do he threw his top half at it and it brushed his arm which took it in. Glen when asked said no with a huge grin that said do you think l am stupid?
