Well said. We still need an improved goal keeper.

First goal WH should have got further down the line of the ball IMO but would give benefit of the doubt as the stuff about never being beaten at the near post is a myth. Shortest distance to goal, least time to react and strongest contact needed.

The second goal any attempt to shift his huge frame and affect the flight of the ball prevents the goal but he makes no attempt.

I've never said we didn''t but they don't grow on trees. I thought we were looking at the German In'l keeper who is currently at Paris SG.

Sounds very promising.

I had to google him for info. His name is Kevin Trapp and is 27 yrs old. He played 24 games last season but lost his place to a young Spanish keeper and only has two appearances this season. Think I saw it on the BBC football site that he is looking for first team football but we are not the only club looking at him

Hennessy commanded his area and was alert throughout, making some decent saves.

Every time he concedes a goal, he is made a scapegoat for the whole defence.

I wouldn’t say there are more than half-a-dozen better keepers in the premier League than him and Speroni.

Can any of their critics identify affordable replacements?

I wouldn’t imagine we are. Would make a change that situation.

He is a. Good keeper, but £10m, not sure we have the funds if we get a CB/DM in & a quality CF

A German Int'l from Paris SG, if he is a class above either of our two then surely our survival in the PL would be worth £10 mil.

A good keeper gives the whole team confidence and you could see the nerves tonight. Good centre halves and decent defensive midfielders are why Hennessey keeps cleans sheets.

When they hit the post tonight he had started his dive after the ball had rebounded out, his reactions are too slow and he just isn't good enough for this level.

I know he does his best, and you can see he is trying every match, but sadly neither him or Speroni are good enough, and until we get this sorted we will never show our full potential as a team.

I know we kept a clean sheet against Citeh, but imagine how many more we would keep with a quality keeper. We need to find another Nigel Martyn. There must be one out there!
