Gotta a funny feeling Palace can win this one. The time is right and City seem to be losing their sharpness. They've got to lose sometime...

Whilst I love your optimism Silva is likely to be back for them and fresh after a break. Probably throw Toure into the mix and you know what is going to happen. If we have a strike force of Huge Slice and Lady Luck then who knows.

The problem with getting anything out of this game likely involves us scoring two goals at least.

Newcastle holding them to just one goal is actually a result!

Newcastle did nothing to help themselves until the very end when our Gayle may have had a couple of goals. For all their dominance Citeh did look as if they had lost their way. It's a small thing, but it only takes something that small.

My totally illogical feeling that Palace can win this match is based on my view thatI support perverse sport clubs like the Boston Red Sox and Crystal Palace. They beat the teams they shouldn't and underperform against teams they should dominate.

I always get those feelings about individual games and I am always wrong.

The General feeling I get is that over the course of the season we will be alright. This feeling has been relatively successful!

This is not a lucky pants thing. More of a making sense of what I see. I still had this feeling after the first few games of the season.

Is this optimism or delusion?

I dreamt that the game had so many goals & Palace were winning 9-7 with 20 mins left when it was abandoned due to official complaints of unfairness from other clubs. In the dream my Dad said EVERYONE who had a telly was watching the game.
This WON'T HAPPEN. But as long as we lose by less than 9-0 it's OK (never forget that terrible trouncing back in '89 @ Anfield).

Which led to the glorious victory at Villa Park.

Shame our pitch is in fine nick, need to somehow, stop them from passing the ball so effectively. This mornings heavy rain may help . More wind as well, 40 yard worldies from Kevin may go wayward. Clog up all the roads from their hotel so they arrive with 20 minutes to go . Then again they could all arrive by helicopter. One by one, minted apparently.

No doubt we’ll cheer every sloppy pass they make , every miss, cheer our own throw ons and every ball winning tackle , every interception. We’re so up against on the pitch but from the stands we’re not, give city hell.
