Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

Never knew that there was a 'g' in Ischgl/Ischl.
We've been invited there in May (though not as snowboarders). Any recommendations for things to see/do?

Bad Ischl is near Salzburg, quite a way from Ischgl. We're just boarding during the day and doing apres ski and dinners in the evening. Make sure you take the run down to Sammnaun in Switzerland. You get the big cable car back up into Austria. You can go to the Ischgl or Silvretta region websites to see what else there is to do in the area.

Even seeing a Christmas Tree and decorations in a pub raises my hackles.

Can't stand turkey.
My wife and I don't buy each other any presents at all.
Stayed in doors all day whilst my wife went to relatives - she always leaves me alone on Christmas Day.

I bet you're fun at parties.

I went to Ischgl last year and was very impressed. The chairlift with heated seats was a winner!

I can be a cheerful chappie but during the Christmas period I am certainly NOT over-burdened with charisma and have all the charm of a cold pebble. As my wife says "You are a pain in the Derriere".

Looking forward to all the decorations coming down all over the place.

Booked a meal in a local pub for 2.30pm, ended up getting seated at 3.20pm. Complete chaos, people queuing out of the door just to get in, people complaining left, right and centre.

Although in fairness when we eventually got seated the food came out quickly and was very nice, the kitchen staff done well.
