West Sussex Police can't control 2000 away fans & would have been perfectly aware of industrial action, South Western Railways are striking on 8th, 10th & 12th January and I knew this was a possibility last month so it looks very underhand from the police.

BHA wanted it moved as there are engineering works the previous weekend and it would of been to unsafe to run a matchday service, so the story goes.

I'm dubious.

I reckon if they were allowed they would have banned away fans as they showed in November that they and the local constabulary have no idea how to handle such a situation.

Would have been the same at Selhurst.
Less than 14,000 last Season for Man City.

Don't agree - it's Brighton.

Well unfortunately you are wrong, look at the History of our Home Cup games when you have to pay.
We have an excellent Away following and will probably sell our 2000.
We will see,Monday night after the festivities and Live on BT.

The draw for the next round is to take place at the Amex before kick-off, so we'll know who's next before the game:

Strange how the ris of season tickets has contributed to people blanking cup games.

We would never have sold out at our place with the usual w@nky restrictions.

We can hardly talk. I don't know if things have changed recently but since getting promoted, buying a ticket has been tedious with "loyalty points" needed, membership (is it still £50 to be able to buy a matchday ticket?) and all this s***. I have no way of proving I've been to over 100 games (never thought I'd even need to) apart from telling a few crap anecdotes like celebrating with Clinton Morrison in a completely empty Holmesdale stand.

Bollocks to modern football, massively overpriced, badly treated (as seen at the last game v Brighton) and available to stream so why bother going anymore?

Agree with you 100% Mr. F. These football clubs think they are doing us a favour by letting us in.
The disdain with which the paying customer is treated is my biggest gripe.
I have been to Selhurst Park a few times this season, but declined the offer of a ticket to the Bournemouth game.
The thought of swapping home big-screen streaming for standing in the freezing cold with with blocks of ice for feet was literally chilling.
