Not just the evidence of this incident at, say, 3:22pm on Saturday. We should take on board the previous history of any player and/or manager. Fellas like Didier Drogba and managers like Mourinho would very quickly fall foul of the football law. You can then throw the book at them and clean up this beautiful game.

Appealed it, got rejected, still a two match ban and it includes tonight's cup game. Deeney however has appealed his red card and lost and had it extended to 4 games. Deeney got a four game ban because he'd been sent off earlier in the season, so, automatically gets another one game ban added
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Are you in ANY doubt that Lanzini dived Willo? High time we speed up electronic assistance of referees and properly punish cheating. A blatant dive in the box should lead to dismissal if not direct through the ref then via video assistant reffing. Of course you are right that there will be many occasions where things are not clear and opinion differs, hence the need for panels rather then individuals to make decisions. Only clearly incorrect decisions are reversed - if the Third Umpire's analysis is within established margins of error or is otherwise inconclusive, the on-field umpire's original call stands.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't seen the incident.

So here we go again, Sanchez clearly dives at the Man U - Huddersfield game and mr Shearer tells us: could have gotten a penalty. Then King gets a yellow at the Bournemouth game for indeed a shameful dive and it's not enough. I consider pundits partly responsible for condoning diving and opening their eyes selectively.

Yes Sanchez was embarrassing yesterday with multiple dives and then the penalty was a penalty.

I'm not sure as only saw it quickly but I think Kane was able (sorry ) to fool Moss today. Not a dicky bird about it from the commentators.

Going back to the original Lanzini dive, if a remember it correctly he gets the ball inside his own half. As Stoke's defence isn't set a Stoke midfielder tries 'take one for the team' and take out lanzini he doesn't. Lanzini goes on, gets to the edge of the area and a second defender tries to take him out and fails finally Peters, I think, goes to ground and Lanzini flops over having got to the penalty area.
