Thought he had a blinder. Got two major decisions in our favour correct in quick succession (push for disallowed goal & second yellow for Ndidi for diving). We’ve had these go against us recently and I’d have been fuming if we didn’t win today due to bad refereeing decisions. Thought he was also right on the Benteke penalty appeal as in my opinion he’d lost control of the ball (due to a shot attempt which came off his heel!) Well done ref!

Sorry I disagree with you about the penalty. A foul is a foul - it doesn't matter where the ball is or whether the player being challenged has control of it.

Scroll down about a quarter way down to Craig Burley's video about two diving incidents, one in the Stoke v Wet Spam match where Lanzini got a penalty and ours where Ndidi was called for diving and got sent off. Atkinson's positioning allowed him to see it clearly while the ref i the other match was too far away. With the exception of the missed call on Benteke, where Atkinson didn't have a good position, he got virtually everything right. He's been a top ref for many years and could teach guys like Clattenrat a thing or two about positioning and consistency. He also knows that not even his family goes to a match to see him officiate.
Divorced...And LOVING it! |

Always have liked Atkinson ever since he was ref in our play-off win vs Zola's Watford. Made most calls right at King Power. Think he did not not give penalty for foul on Benteke due to red card a couple of minutes before.

I have to say I’ll take a ref like this everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.

He called all the big ones correctly. Although the Albrighton tackle on Tekkers was so a nailed on penalty it was ridiculous. A tackle from behind with no ball contact, how can that not be a penalty?

The Leicester City players were trying to con the ref throughout the whole game. From their disallowed goal for the push on Tomkins back to the dive from Ndidi, they were at it all day long... On MOTD the day the panel summed it up perfectly " defenders are wising up to the simulation tactics and pulling out of the tackles as they can see what is about to happen" quote from Martin Keown. Ndidi 3 match ban i hope, cheating t***... Edited by Gary St.Andrews (17 Dec 2017 10.11am) Edited by Gary St.Andrews (17 Dec 2017 10.12am)
