I think the same - I think the experienced campaigners like us will have a little more 'nous' than the promoted sides over a full season.

Wishful thinking ??????

Except possibly Toon, who might spend large in the winter and who, with Benitez, do have the experience. At the moment thy haven't got the players.

Unless Swansea also make big changes they're going down. Sold Llorente and Gylfi and brought in Roberto Sanchez who has turned out to be a proper dud. Pulis might help if he came in but they also haven't got the players and West Brom's situation suggests that Pulis alone isn't enough.

Form table (last six matches) looks interesting. We are ninth with ten points. Bottom three are Newcastle 1 point, Brighton 2pts, Huddersfield 3pts.
However, we are about to hit a run of tough games, starting tomorrow, where our prospects of getting the same number of points are slim.
Bookies have Swansea, Huddersfield and West Brom as relegation favourites. We are in a cluster of the next three with odds all around 9/4 - that's us plus Brighton and Newcastle.

The right place at the right time

I imagine we will be in bottom three at end of March
but need to be within touching distance, have Sakho back and still have hope

Final six games are Bournemouth, Brighton, Watford, Leicester, Stoke, WBA

Couldn't ask for a better run-in

If we don’t get a striker of some ilk we will be unfortunately in the Championship next year.
My best is that Woy will pull a rabbit from somewhere and we will go on a good run... our spirit is there.
For me
Swansea ( even if Pulis goes there)
Huddersfield ( don’t have the squad depth)
Newcastle ( Benitez will be off in January if he gets no funds)
Or Brighton- again little squad depth

The Spammers will survive as will Stoke

Red & Blue since ' 76.. And what a fine year that was and has been ever since... !

Swansea and...

Unfortunately it still looks like us and we've got a harder run of games coming up.

We don't have a bad run in. Brighton have a terrible run in. I'm going to make a big call and say we don't get out of the religation zone until the end of the 38th game when we pip Brighton to the post.

in order

1) Swans,
2) West Brom
3) Newcastle

Will be difficult to see Newcastle invest in Jan given uncertainty in ownership. Absolutely the worst time to try to sell a squad. At least they get to renew the tyne-ware derby
