Let's have the verbatim quotes then.

"It’s not for us, or our job, to pay attention to Zaha like that," Silva said when asked if he would tell his players to be extra-careful with Zaha in and around their penalty box.

"We’ll pay attention to him like we do Benteke, Townsend, Loftus-Cheek and the rest. They will be paying attention to us too, Richarlison, Gray, Carrillo, Troy and Pereyra and the rest."

He added: "They pay close attention to Richarlison, and the benefit of the doubt is never in Richarlison's favour. I hope it’s the same for them.

"We need to be careful with Zaha, he’s a good player with a lot of skill, and he’s fast too. I hope the referee will give attention not only to Richarlison, but to Zaha as well.

"I hope the referee treats two fantastic players with the same attention.

"It’s what I want - I want to be fair."

In my humble estimation it will be Silva who will be celebrating tonight and Hodgson will be the glum one.

I believe Watford will have too much for us tonight and will win 2-1.I simply cannot see us winning.

You very rarely can.

I am going to the ground without any degree of positivity.
Having seen Watford I think they will have too much energy for us.
I'm afraid it's going to be a bad night.

Sounds fair comment to me. What's the problem?

But also a top manager. Mind games are part and parcel of football now. I doubt we'd get another penalty tonight unless it's stonewall. We have to win a match from open play very soon and we can't leave the urgency until 80 odd mins gone unless we're counting on points from Arsenal & Man City.

We must get at least half or over of the next 9 points.

NOT a top manager.
What has he done? Won the title with Olympiacos (I could do that-its like Man U playing in the Scottish 3rd div)
Got Hull relegated-sure, they were in trouble when he arrived but he had enough time to turn things around and got Hull relegated.
Having a pretty good few months with Watford which is fair enough but when he refuses to commit to Watford the very second Everton come sniffing around indicates little faith in his own ability and a desire to jump from job to job till he lands in a 'top' one.
NOT a top manager

I don't see this as a dig at Zaha necessarily. It sounds more like he feels that Richarlison and Wilf are similar players who don't get the benefit of shouts for a penalty usually.

Zonal marking lover. Last season Benteke scored a soaring header against Silvas Hull where Maguire never got off the ground. They have Mariappa at CB who shouldnt get anywhere near Benteke in the air.

Not sure how you equate him being interested in the Everton job, to having no faith in his ability. I see the complete opposite.

Well he's very good and Everton who should really be 7th wanted him. Better than most we've had recently.

I wouldn't say he's proved to be a top manager yet. He failed to keep Hull up last year an he's got Watford (a mid table side im recent years) to 9th so far this season. Nothing proved yet.

Agreed tactically naive, what on earth was he doing taking Deeney off.?
Outwitted twice now at Selhurst.
Everton avoided a bullit there.
