I get where you are coming from. Rednecks with guns aren't a good combination. tbf between 1914 and 1967 Europe had its fair share of native nutcases who also liked a gun or two. And artillery, and chemical warfare, and laying seige, and pogroms, etc. I wouldn't say things have got worse in the last 50 years than the preceding 50 when it comes to overall violence in Europe, would you?

Not another one of your bizarre comparisons. Ok how about major crime wave in London during the 1940's? Not forgetting all those abused kids around the country in children's homes and religious schools. Or what about the tremendous street violence of the 70's: skinheads, NF, hooliganism and the same way back with Mosley's lot? Then there are the razor gangs of the 50's. And the amount of IRA incidences were a lot worse than any other terrorist group so far. Not an immigrant in sight.

In the US, violent crime and gun crime have been steadily descending for two decades. "This American carnage" that Trump promised to end has been ending anyway. [Link]

I say this not to denigrate the place I live. I say this to put some perspective on the relative death toll and overall carnage caused by RWNJs vs. ISNJs. Over the last decade or so, it's not even close. Right-wing terror attacks are more numerous and more likely to result in deaths. [Link] The number of Muslims living in America is at 1 percent of the population. The number of Muslims living in the UK is at between 4.4 and 5 percent of the population. Conversations of this type need to reflect the 'living space' that these ideologies can hide in. As group populations go up hence so will sub group populations and hence attacks. The more collected together in communities the bigger the issue. Integration to the surrounding culture has always been the answer...the best coping answer that is... but socially conservative doctrines in religions are hyper opposed to that as they correctly know it's the gradual death of the doctrine.
