Howe may well be trying to deflect attention from his own part in his team's training ground deception tactics.

I speak here about Defoe's first goal in which Howe's team practised holding onto Defoe's marker. King holding onto Jeff Schlupp.

King and Defoe should be charged for deceiving the referee.

If true it is a sad indictment on where the PL is in relation to trying to stay in it. A video ref may well of helped here as the ref was clearly unsighted, which is also part of the trick. The correct decision would then for King to be red carded automatically. This would stamp out this type of play pretty quickly. Like CCTV it would prevent a lot of potential crimes.

Can you remember the last one? He's been denied so many it's ridiculous, so don't get all high and mighty cos a ref actually did his job for once. In fact he did his job laughably at times, terrible performance.
If Wilf was charged, King would have to be for their first goal.

With respect I wasn't getting all "High and mighty" at all.
It just seemed ironic that's all given what has been advocated on here.
I totally disagree with your opinion of "Terrible performance" - Let's just use that label in respect of Benteke's penalty, his attitude and the fact he was allowed to take it.

Come off it, you weren't just referring to the irony of the situation in your previous post - you were clearly implying that people who had pointed out that Zaha had never got a penalty for being fouled in the penalty area were simple wrong. They weren't wrong. As another poster asked, can you remember him ever being barged or tripped or wrestled to the ground and a penalty being awarded?

By the way, I'm not sure what "Siren voices" (who I believe were beautiful women luring sailors onto the rocks) have got to do with all this. Explanation?

He should be grateful for the gift wrapped point and shut up.

For the first it did look as though he was on his way down before he caught the keeper so certainly some controversy. However, no one seem to draw attention to Nathan Ake clipping his calf’s half a second before, I think he had the right to go down from that contact.

The second look likes the defender caught Wilfs foot just before the foul so good decision in my opinion. About time Wilf started to get of these penalty decisions in his favour. There isn’t a more dangerous dribbler than him in the Premier League

People can say they weren’t penalties but can they say Wilf dived? When a player goes down in the box it doesn’t necessarily mean he dived if no penalty is given! For Wilf to get banned all 3 on the panel will need to say he dived which I can’t see!

I couldn't make the game yesterday (father in laws 60th!)
During the afternoon I had a few mates messaging me saying Zaha is a disgrace. Never penalties.

I got home last night fully expecting to be a bit embarrassed by Wilfs actions.... Well.... I thought both were nailed on penalties!!

Us fans are a strange bunch in our interpretation of things.

Both the penalties while maybe "soft" we're genuine penalties.
On both occasions Wilf didn't just throw himself to the floor he was fouled, and a referee will rarely give a penalty unless a player hits the ground.
It was very disappointing to hear Eddie Howe mischievously try to get Wilf in trouble. It was unecessary there was no blatant cheating involved, unlike there was for Bournemouth's first goal.
Mr Howe who I saw as a respected and decent man is sounding like a poor man's Jose Mourinho.

I'm looking forward to Jose Mourinho vs Eddie Howe on Wednesday and their respective post-match interviews.

There's still time for Howe to teach Mourinho a thing or two about how to make psychopathy look like sanctimony.

Regardless of your supposedly knowledge, or your 'in' with referees, the officials had a shocker yesterday. The lino in front of the main stand was out of his depth and Kevin Friend lost it early in the game. He is the new Clattenburg.

BOTH penalties.

And weren't there siren voices on here saying penalties are never awarded when Zaha is brought down in the box ?

Yes I disagree with the mood music apropos Zaha and the penalty decisions but this has got nothing to do with my comment and the "Irony" which I mentioned.

We shall have to agree to disagree else there will be a convoluted discussion evolving into vitriol and the inevitable WILLO thread.

As for "Siren voices" what I as referring to was the amplification of strident views that's all.

At the end of the day on Saturday, Zaha was involved in two penalty decisions which were called correctly by the referee.Sometimes they err from time to time but on these occasions he was 100% correct.Well done to Kevin Friend and shame on Benteke.
