one more at least, who do we have on the left if zaha gets injured? Andros? nope, he has uttered on many occasions he's right side only, but even if roy pushes him there, who then on the right?

good quality back up is required at this level.

Southampton and the like have players of the ilk of Shane Long on the bench. Until we can have that quality on our bench we'll always be in relegation battles.

Agreed we need a third winger to back Zaha and Andros up.

But let's be fair a second striker, keeper, and two central midfielders when Cabaye and Jimmy leave are all far more important IMO.

If we can get this lad for free, then yes sign him up...

Privately (And I think on here), I have been going on about acquiring Adrian of W.Ham but I think after his performance last weekend they might not release him.

I wouldn't spend money on him but I completely disagree that we don't need more wingers.

The only back up we have for Townsend and Wilf is Lee and Sako. Both are mid table championship players - wouldn't see the light of day in the Wolves team.

I've said for quite a while we need competition in wide areas - the best way of doing that, seeing as we have 2 nailed on starters, is exploring players with potential who are perhaps not quite there yet. Keeps them hungry and removes the expectation that they start each week but gives us sufficient back up and other options.

Also looks to the future for once, a facet that has become too unfamiliar in recent years at palace.

We're the Arthur over ere!

I recall a conversation I had with someone about Aarons probably 2 or 3 years ago.

Whilst we recognised he had pace and was a 'Direct' player who ran with the ball at pace and could beat defenders, his crossing and decision-making was in need of improvement but he was only very young and a work-in-progress.

In my humble estimation at present we don't need Aarons.

We certainly do need back up to Wilf and Townsend, to cover for possible further injuries to them. Would be happy with this

Is he a cultured winger?

A stockbroker urged me to buy a stock that would triple its value every year. I told him, at my age, I don't even buy green bananas!

From what I hear he is a left-footed winger who can play on both wings but appears happier on right-wing where he can cut on to his left foot. Can dribble near the box find a yard and get a shot in.Plenty of pace, positive and direct.
Coventry signed him from Dagenham & Redbridge.

Going off-piste, if we are looking for a central midfielder then maybe Andy King of Leicester should come into consideration.

I suspect our 'Recruitment' department are availing of 'ProZone' and 'Scout7' in their search for players.

Andy King from Leicester? We want to improve not go backwards! Let Jeffrey Schlupp please be the only reserve-Fox we invest in.

I have not been informed that he does, but I am reliably informed he likes cooking a lot !
