Clattenburg has basically admitted bottling a whole series of big decisions in a crucial match because of what the papers might print. It's not surprising that Willo isn't going to comment because apart from agreein that Clattenburg is as straightforward as a £7 note there's nothing sensible he can say.

That's an amazing admission to make. He seems to be suggesting that he officiated differently based on the requirements of the premier league / TV / an exciting finish. That's not a referee's job - his job is to apply the laws of the game uniformly and fairly, regardless of who's playing. It's monumentally unfair to think (though I'm sure most of us believe it to be true to some extent) that our players are more likely to be sent off because we are not a big club, pulling in millions of viewers. If a big name player from a big name club commits a sending off offence in a high profile match, the officials need to have the impartiality, integrity, and courage to treat them exactly the same as they would treat the reserve centre-forward of Accrington Stanley playing in a totally meaningless mid table clash.

So here we have Clusterf*** admitting that he didnt apply the rules/laws of the game in failing to send off 3 yes 3 Tottenham players, in other words, cheating, and still Willo defends his best mate! Says it all really, every previous post Willo has made defending referees is now totally obsolete!!THe man has admitted cheating!!

So instead of "calling it as you see it", he was calling it as he'd decided prior to the match even kicking off. He's a total c***, always has been.

I have made my views perfectly clear about Clattenburg and his excellence as a referee and I stand gummed to my position on this. Not going to make any further comments on this thread because as sure as night follows day it will disintegrate into vitriol and vituration and into yet another tedious WILLO thread. So all barbs and attempts to lure me into discussion will go unanswered.
Vituration? Or Vituperation? Maybe cut and paste from Wikipedia next time rather than re-type!
