I think you’ve been in Belfast too long. Irony is quite common in Croydon these days.

The comment was tongue in cheek my good man!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Yeah, because all 50 of the HF must have rushed it at once... FFS, s*** situation, but if you think the HF are behind it, then that is rubbish.

What actually happened? All I've heard in a load of young 'ens got in without tickets?

Wasn’t aware of any issues pre game - seemed pretty calm and orderly. Not sure about some of these reports saying 300+ couldn’t get in, our end was packed. Some people coming in at half time, maybe around 100 or so.

Depth charges, smoke bombs and two palace fans decloaking in the away end were the highlights. The game was a complete drossfest.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

From what I've picked up on social media and on here is that hundreds of fans with valid tickets were forced back to the station because ticketless fans got in. The hf already had a couple of hundred tickets so why would they need to bum rush the show? Who was it then?
Added into the mix is the setting off of flares which probably didn't help the fans outside cause if I'm honest.

Was there room inside for 300 more supporters? Hearing mixed reports on that one.

Also heard that some of the hf started having a pop at some palace fans whilst kettled in after the game. That's from a reliable source.

Have I missed anything or got anything wrong?

Sounds like security at the ground was shoddy. A Brighton fan tweeted 'how come my deodorant was confiscated but there were flares in the away end ' She had a point.

Didn’t see them rush anything ... but did see the HF just push their way down the front of our and one young pup just said to people “move” and intimate other palace who paid for those tickets ... Then set off a flare bomb just when benteke had a chance to score and put him off ... t***s

I drove my mates there, I didnt have a ticket.

One of my mates had a dizzy spell and was in the ambulance waiting to see the Doctor, and said it all kicked off. approx 1,000 palace turned up without tickets. My mate got in 10 mins before halftime.

rub a dub dub who's buying the next round in the Pub?

Read NSC and thought it surprisingly measured

I do reckon the main group of HF needs to get hold of the hangers on and get them in line. Reputation is important.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Ashamed to be Palace tonight' by Midlands Eagle

Ticketless fans rushing the gates so genuine fans end up locked out, vanadalism at the station, destruction of Artwork and general yobbishness - and we have the cheek to call Millwall scum!

Some will no doubt revel at how "hard" we are - well let's see them do the same next year if we go down when the knuckle draggers from the den turn up

He would have got launched ifbhecsaid that to me.

Undoubtedly some "fans" got in withot tickets, but how is that even possible.
I thought stewards and police were checking tickets before they got to the turnstiles.

I was quoting a CPFC steward who was very very explicit that it was HF who hurt the CPFC steward. Just feeding the info. By all accounts loads of people were daft enough to go via Brighton station so we're inevitably late to ground etc etc and frustration got better of them. I agree with post re train home. Am on it now and will likely miss last tube home from Victoria so big taxi fare beckons.
