Basically, we are one long-term injury away from relegation should he get hurt which is a pretty abysmal squad situation to be in after four and half seasons in The Prem.

Wasn't working. Ideally you'd have Wilf linking up out of the two. What was with those balls played to Benteke to chase into the corners all about? Poor. Mainly by players less gifted with the ball like Ward because we didn't have a couple of players doing what they can. The other downside is Cheek isn't a right midfielder and is a waste on the right and he is the natural link up man. Maybe Wilf needs to switch with Cheek now and again or go wide more often because he was anonymous for most of the match and injury time isn't always going to deliver the hopeful end. I think what were more likely to see, and probably rightly. Is townsend pushing forward a bit, if we need a goal, and RLC shifting more centrally. I gotta say, I do like the 442. It's a formation that's come back into fashion over the last couple of years and it suits the pace we have. Reminds me a bit of the Monaco system last season.

RLC had his "worst" game for us vs Stoke, but came up with the important equalizer. Roy H says he has to play for team (out on the right), but of course, he should be playing more central. Hopefully on Tuesday...
