Just seem to remember him on here endlessly moaning about the BBS.Do you remember that? Your post reminded me of that.He would gratuitously refer to them as imbeciles or the like for no objectively good reason..was rather sad,actually.He then got red carded twice on here,didn't he?..Which rather indicates it was him rather than the "politics" of the BBS that was a problem.

I agree, they are a disgrace. I've read posts on there that actually advocate bombing the government. I hope the security forces are keeping tabs on them.

yeah no one in their right mind would say that animals don't have feelings but for whatever reason this is what they have done. People put their trust in these people and this is what happens. Whatever their reasoning a vote like this opens them up to serious questioning and brings greater doubt to the choices they make. How is anyone expected to trust politicians when they make these kinds of decisions?
You are probably right about their reasoning regarding certain legislation - more than likely in order to protect the rights of farmers but if these are the lengths they are prepared to go to then surely people will, as I say, lose faith in them and question their capabilities. The vote was pretty close 52% - 49% so there are many MPs who opposed the proposition and so it's a case of finding out which ones supported it and questioning them as to why they did. As the article said, however, if we as voters allow this to happen it leads the way for other even more questionable policies to be allowed to go through parliament without the knowledge or support of the electorate. This is
something that voters should be aware of and need to prevent from happening in future.

That explains it more than the idiotically simplistic, and incorrect, line from Gervais. They lumped a load of other things, that weren't to do with this, in with it.
