The ball could have been kept upfield (where it was) while there were were less than two minutes to play. In my view, the whole team should have done better. Yes Speroni's decision making can be called into question and Dann never covered himself in glory either. But this is not Dann's strong point and Speroni must surely know this.Terrible goal to concede.

He should have belted it upfield. With his experience he should have known this.

Speroni should've launched it but Cabaye, as usual, was showing when Dann received the ball. Dann had 2 options. He chose a 3rd. He's fvcked up on so many occasions over the last year it's to be expected now. The worst was v Huddersfield on the halfway line. Didn't he gift Defoe on the halfway line. He certainly dithered like Parish when Benteke robbed him v Villa. Verdict is he's no good if it isn't traditional defending your lines type stuff, so understand your mates and don't put them in situations they can't deal with, which goes back to Frank and Parish and the shambolic decisions made by our club without the understanding to make them.

Edited by Willo (19 Nov 2017 12.12am) True. Which is why Cabaye showed himself to Dann, but, line you say, Dann doesn't have that awareness all the time. He's okay if everything is in front of him or in a 180 degree viewpoint in front of him. Otherwise he's vulnerable.

The pitch was soak-wet yesterday and no defender would expect his own goalie playing a pass like this with seconds to go for half time. Think Julian got "too high" after he made the Everton attacker go the wrong way before passing to Dann. And no reason to be on Dann's back - I would pair him with Sakho any given day. For his play at the back and his goal threats on corners.

Watched motd this morning and I’m very disappointed with the lack of analysis after the game by the “experts” but it’s good to see another deluded prem manager (unsworth) talking up his team for a great performance ! What ? Was he watching the same game I was ? At least Alan stone face shearer was honest about the retrospective action saying nothing will happen but it should

At least Alan stone face shearer was honest about the retrospective action saying nothing will happen but it should I thought that was quite funny and it's no bad thing if he deludes himself into thinking they haven't got problems. They would have had no complaints if they'd lost 3-0 and finished with nine men yesterday. They earned neither of their goals and were gifted a point they in no way deserved.

What goes around comes around...West Ham gave as an unexpected opportunity to equalise instead of just keeping possession and yesterday Jules was responsible for giving Everton an opportunity. You can have a go at Scott Dann but on a greasy pitch and opponents quick to close him down, he found himself in a position he should not have been placed in in the first place. Jules should have launched that ball absolutely no need to play the pass that he did.

I had seen the stream live but again shouted and screamed at the telly when Alistair Mann said "there was contact", ffs if you can't condemn that as diving find another job or just be honest and admit one of the causes of diving and cheating being as big a part of the game as it is nowadays, has been condoning it by commentators and pundits. Dann has been an excellent 'Servant' to the club and I appreciate the contributions he has made. That said, he hasn't got the quickest of feet so is vulnerable to players running at him and I wouldn't say he is one to play out from the back under pressure.I have to conclude that at PL level he is found wanting.
