Furthermore, any decent manager should be able to get Everton out of the mess they're currently in so whether it's Allardyce or somebody else is neither here nor there. It's not as if the only alternative is de Boer. Another thing occurs to me about Allardyce. As far as I know he lives in notloB and his family are there. That's not a long way from wherever Everton train. It's a f*** of a long way from Beckenham. This is the opposite of the case with, say, Dowie.

No way he is going to pay that himself, so it means that anyone hiring him is going to have to add 2 mil. to the signing bonus which will pass through to the Palace. Allardyce had decided that he wasn't going to manage the club this year anyway, so there's no harm, no foul here.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

What's the problem? Sam did a good job for us & got the team playing well to keep us up; job done.

Buggers off when he could have built something and now look at the shambles. I can't understand this love in with Allardyce. Pulis lied when he left and he's rightly hated. He kept us up as well. What's the difference?

He used us to restore his reputation and we benfitted from that. While it’s his right I would feel aggrieved if after such a short time with us he returned to premiership management having retired on the premise he needed a break from club management. Less than a season is hardly a break and he can’t have needed it that badly if he resurfaces that soon. The biggest danger is he turns up at a relegation rival. If we go down at their expense the money we get back will be irrelevant.

Allardyce didn’t lie, he may have changed his mind (although since he is not back in management yet, it could all be agent drivel). Pulis didn’t change his mind, he lied. It seems like polar opposites to me. I don’t understand this hate in with Allardyce. He was employed to do a job, he did a job, he left. He can do another job (in which case we get £2 million), or he can sit in his garden watching the flowers grow (in which case we don’t). Healthy apathy is the only reasonable response.

And this magical £2m figure that people seem to forgive him for, less than 1/6th of what PvA cost so what quality exactly will that pay for?
