Now come on Kermit, have a little sympathy. It could add at least half hour to their journey. That's a pint before the match.

I would set out the night before from Balham and camp down somewhere near the ground just to be on the safe side.

Very humorous to those of us in New York who have to put up with weekend diversions that make riding public transport here akin to Russian roulette. Besides, from Balham you have direct service to Norwood Junction and West Croydon.

The overpriced milky coffee you used to ask your mum for isn't as good in Sainsburys. A big downside.

I think that would be the best option. Maybe someone could get on to the club to sort out a room people can sleep in.

That wasn't milk.

I was 19. Horny as hell. What was I supposed to do?

Rudi, you seem a bit jealous of the yuppie/hipsters people that live in Balham.

This shows a pretty good example of how someone sees an Internet post and jumps to a conclusion based on a shaky assumption then everyone else follows.

I was simply trying to say that no trains from Clapham Junction were stopping south of Balham in an attempt to help others who's journey may be affected.

Just one pint in 30 mins? Is there a queue at the bar....?

I guess it depends where you're drinking

Well, as I've always said about it: you can't polish a turd.

You can if you freeze it first.

No, not jealous. Have no reason to be.

Have you lost your sense of humour or is everyone in Balham uptight about it? A bit of self deprecating humour may have gone down quite well. Oh well.
