I take absolutely no joy in saying that I’ve been predicting this since Friday’s game. Man of the match...bound to get picked again...bound to get injured just as all the ‘withdrawees’ make their miraculous recoveries in time for next weekend. When I saw he was in the starting line-up, my heart sank.

It’s so f*cking f*cking typical!!!!!

Thank god he got the invaluable experience of a pointless friendly, rather than a crucial relegation battle that would really test him and mean something.

Exactly. Spurs wouldn't risk Kane or Ali, who both have minor injuries that will no doubt miracoulosly clear up by Saturday. Our players are just cannon fodder.

Exactly my point above (except my spellchecker got miraculous right)

I'm sure you could give it a good go.

It's kinda different tho.. Alli and Kane have had lots of opportunities to play for England. RLC hasn't, would you expect him to say no? If you were the manager would you prevent him from gaining international experience? Why would a club he's being loaned to be more important? We got unlucky again but he'll be back.
I'm happy that he had the opportunity to play at such a high level and I want to see him develop to his fullest whether or not it hurts our club. To think otherwise would be selfish. He's only a boy and he has the right to do what he has to in order to fulfill his potential.

Southgate never really liked us and wanted out as soon as possible after Alan Smith had him round his house on Sunday's as a youth, washing his car and sweeping leaves off his drive.

Blame Alan Smith for this.

He’s 21. Not a boy. Frustrating we never get to see him play when fit. Could be very special

Perhaps he is being used sparingly as the medical staff know that he can’t play more than a couple of games without getting injured.

Its not serious if you read link below. Only a back complaint which flares up now and again. I reckon he will be fit by Saturday
