I thought they were only interested in investigating people illegally parked, speeding if youre just over the limit, or mps who call in these days, certainly arent interested if you are broken into, dont even come round now! I recall that ex chancellor george osborne calling them when he nearly had his phone nicked in london by scooter gang, they were caught within hours! yet same gang had stolen 125 phones that week beforehand and no sign of catching them! one rule for us,,,,,etc etc

Probably something to do with two blokes calling each other out for a meet. Exactly this. The thread was taken down during a 2 person, 15 minute argument over whether football violence not involving innocent bystanders was acceptable, resulting in 1 person challenging one to a fight and the other accepting it but at a convenient time after he got off the train at Norwood Junction rather than taking up his midweek. 1st person wanted it discussed on Facebook for some reason. Moderators had enough of the thread and probably didn't want hol heading down that road. That type of football support exists but don't look or expect to see it on hol. I can understand that. Nothing to do with any police investigation. Any comments from football forum monikers aren't evidence, and neither are they on YouTube where there's loads of these videos with comments below.

You couldn't make this up. A thread started by a maybe arranged fight between two sets of fans in Wembley, only to escalate to two fans on here arranging a meet up at nor wood junction.

well i thought people who gave there lives did so to leave a better place for the people left behind, and that would surely be democratic,,,we always hear of dictatorships being the bad guys,,,so to take down a thread today is undemocratic i think, freedom of speech etc! I don't think hundreds of thousands of British soldiers went to their deaths in order to prevent threads about brief and squalid little pub brawls from being removed on online football forums. Or maybe that was their dying hope; we'll never know.

True, but when people profess to knowledge (on a website forum) that's not in the public domain, the police may be entitled to go through their phone and email comms, look into who they know etc just to see if they can figure out if such individuals have knowledge -- and how they got it.

OK you slags, I'm going to take you all on. But only at 7:30 outside Tolworth station and I need to be home in time for my tea. Hold me back.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

That stirred something from the murky depths of my memory as I used to hang about at the Charrington Bowling Alley when it first opened many decades ago.

Like when in amateur football there's no holding back or hiding behind 20 bodies compared to professional theatrics. What's for 'tea?' Are you northern? Can't it be warmed up?
