We beat Everton a few seasons back 3-2

My mistake. You are right sir. 3-2 two years running. I believe I’m right about the last home win being 1994.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Benteke is unlikely to start and, at best, will be on the bench. We will put in another should've, could've, would've performance and lose by a single goal margin. The talk will be that "if we keep playing like that, the results will come" and of "our season beginning with Stoke". In the meantime the trap door will continue to relentlessly creak open.

Why not try making a prediction of your own rather than following me around like a sad, lost little puppy?

The Everton players (supposedly) want Unsworth as their new manager, so hopefully he'll be moved aside before the weekend, otherwise I can see them really pulling together and giving us a very hard game. If they bring someone else in this week then I think they might be less together.

Unsworth in charge then we lose 2-0.

Unsworth not in charge we win 1-0.

0-0

How's that for fence sitting! My first ever game was against Everton. It was 0-0, Andy Gray missed a penalty and the fans were chanting "Where's your medal Neville?" (because he infamously refused to collect his runners-up medal after losing to us in the Zenith Data Systems Cup final) It wasn't really a great game, but it was my first time, so I'll never forget it
