Another failed attempt at signing a player for Wenger.

If we sell him, we will almost certainly be relegated. Given that, and the fact Ox-C cost Liverpool £40 his value is sky high.

Wenger is too tight to pay that much.

On the other hand, he could end up as Fergie and Wenger's last signing.

I think the danger is someone will come in for Wilf, from abroad, and we will have to sell him to buy the quality of player we need to stay up. Would Wilf be attracted to an switch abroad? certainly will get more protection from the ref's

I posted that on 9/10 in the Expiring Contracts & January chat.
Wilf will be linked with a lot of big clubs, sadly louder as each games passes if we don't get the points over the next 8 games. I believe we can get enough points to mean the board will not have to entertain any bids. If we don't then how much say will the yanks have? Relegation is alien to them; hopefully the board will hold its nerve & keep Wilf whatever bids come in & under whatever circumstances.

Not because their teams are any good though - as far as I am aware their teams are shyte but the leagues don't have relegation. Perhaps someone should explain to them how the Premier League works before it is too late.

Surely they've got that the wrong way around more like 53m but can't see us letting him go in January. If we go down then 50m will see Wilf gone in July I'm afraid. I keep praying for positive results

I think wilf deserves another crack at a top top club tbh, just hope we can keep him until the end the season.

i think we all agree that if Wilf goes we are down and that probable fact, that we are one player loss away from relegation tells us pretty much what we already knew about the strength of the squad, which should never have been allowed to happen.

Although we have better players now than any point in our recent history... who's to blame for that?

Inexperienced owners are to blame for the mess we are in, please do get me started on this again.

Yeah I’d see what you mean. Abromovich came in with all his experience and turned things right around for Chelsea. And then There’s that Thai lot at Leicester with oddles of footballing experience pumping through their veins that did the biz for them.

Having five or six very good players and 19 pretty average ones making up the squad you mean?

I think Parish can take the plaudits all round. Rubbish scouting system - tick; All the money being spent on salaries - tick; no youngsters good enough for the team since Wilf's debut - tick.

Yea right ! Maybe that is the loan fee till the end of the season . Or 35 mill plus Theo. But 60 mill would prob buy wilf in this market. It would be a clear sign that the board are preparing for relegation.

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton.
