I get the feeling that one costly mistake from Speroni will be the catalyst for both factions to engage in fiesty debate with vitriol very much in evidence.

All goalkeepers make mistakes. More a question of weak performances over a long period.

I would not stoop to the levels of the anti Hennessey brigade but, so far, there has been no feisty debate over Jules despite the fact he has cost us three points with the Newcastle goal and West Ham's first. There are double standards on here re the goal keeping debate.

I've been a big defender of Wayne but in my opinion he could have done better with the French goal. He's clearly off form at the moment and don't think he did anything tonight to warrant getting his place back from Julian. That said he wasn't terrible, but certainly not at his best at the moment

I think that sums up his career, ‘he wasn’t terrible’, just a shame he’s never very good.
A below average keeper who you always think, ‘he could have done better with that’.
It’s a no from me.

In my humble assessment he cannot be blamed for either goal but of course there are those who will take an alternative viewpoint. I don't wish to get into a protracted debate about the minutiae of both those goals.Opinions, opinions !

Oh come on Willo you know full well Wayne would have been crucified on this forum if he had let those two in!

Maybe those who 'Shout' loudest on HOL are those who are fervently Anti-Hennessey.

Even if Hennessey had been in goal for those games I would have the same opinion regards the goals in question.

Some of us may have decided that it is a pointless debate with WH haters being so one sided and try not to comment anymore.
Even when this happens and the Hennessey and Speroni threads nearly disappear off the front page, the Speroni fans have to start new threads like this one to drag up the same old rubbish and pollute the board a little more.
Best to not respond Willo , let it die, nothing new will be said.

Rightly so, his all round game is weak. So when the goals fly in and he limply picks the ball out of the net looking like a dejected child, you know that he hasn’t got it in his locker to put any of his wrong doings right.

A change won’t happen now until a new goalie is brought in in Jan or in the summer now. Roy has picked his man and it wouldn't make sense to make a change. We need strong characters to get us out of our current situation. Jules is a strong character, Wayne isn’t and his confidence is shot to pieces.

To be honest I don't know the pair well enough to form such an opinion.
On what do you base your judgement ?
