strange isn't it, Bob Hope, Jaques Tati, Joan Rivers, Woody Allen, Charlie Chaplin and even Max Boyce would you believe none of these supported Palace and at least two of them had never even of of us. a strange coincidence indeed.

Many years ago, Harry Enfield mentioned that he was a Palace supporter.

Many years ago, Harry Enfield mentioned that he was a Palace supporter. Whenever I think about that wonderful TV play, "Abigail's Party", I remember the young man whose wife was a drunken bore and kept on about how he had played "a few times" for Crystal Palace. He didn't seem so keen to talk about it.

I've never seen any of the various comedians we get at the match look as if they supported us. They support the opposition often enough though. You know, the ones in black that run around on the pitch and blow a whistle from time to time.

At least Jim Davidson is not a "comedian" that is numbered among our fans. The Clowns have that privilege.

Have we all forgotten Tony "Super Wheels" Gerrard? (At least I think that was his name i.e. maybe I've forgotten him too!). He used to be on the bill for 'fundraisers' (possibly Lifeline fundraisers?) at Selhurst, and his tagline was "Comedian in a wheelchair!". I guess you had to be there.

Ah but one of those isn't a comedian anyway; at least not according to this chap: To Mr. Charlie Chaplin, Sennet Studios, Hollywood, California. Congrats stop. Have found only person in world less funny than you stop. Name Baldrick stop.
