No surprise Leicester gladly unloaded him At least Sako only had a short time on the field to be offside. Totally agree... I've been saying it for some time now but i just don't get the point of him... he's not a left back and he's not a left winger... I don't really have any idea what he is.... but I do know he's not very good. To think we paid £12m for him is mind boggling.

Which is what I said when we signed him.I wasn't enamoured by him at all or by the PVA signing yet I came in for some vituperation on HOL. I can fully appreciate that we needed to get in some left-sided defenders to play at left-back but we paid £18 Mill (Excluding add-ons) for Schlupp and PVA !!!! Regards Schlupp my understanding is we paid £9 Mill with add-ons taking the figure to near £12 Mill.

The issue is Parish's preference to sign positions late or not at all, or have very little scouting done. That's the issue to address, then you don't end up with these players we haven't researched thoroughly.

You are a troll, I have said it before and yet you still you post. Croydonlad my @rse, you are from Newcastle. I know it's sh!te up there, no rail investment, no more northern power house and I for one genuinely think that we should as a country look to invest more in the north but it's been years since Pardew left your Club and your at least back in the Prem, so try and get over it and spend your time posting on your own forum. Lord knows Newcastle could do with your support right now and your higher in the league than us. If you don't like the cold up there, move, the world is big. And for any true Palace fans that want to reply to this troll, do you think that a Palace fan would call Zaha, haha? The H and the Z are nowhere near each other. This guy is a troll. Recognise. Zaha missed an open goal, sh!t happens, c'est la vie, maybe he'll score next time, like he did against wet spam.

Disappointed for Zaha to have missed that goal but would never blame him for it. Wilf is the heart and soul of our team. Also how about looking at Son who walked into an open goal and missed.

I'd never in a million years blame or moan at Wilf for his miss today. Firstly he is not a striker, that is not his natural position. Secondly, he has strength has never been as a natural finisher. He is a winger, and his strengths are his outrageous skills, ball control and ability to take on defenders and beat them. He has dug us out of many holes over the years, and he's our only real 'maverick' player that can genuinely turn a game for us. Yes of course he should have scored, no disputes there - anyone who is playing at pro level should score that opportunity... BUT players are all human, and like us they all make mistakes. Even the greats miss such chances, look here at Messi for example! One thing for sure is that you know that no one will be more gutted that Wilf that he missed that chance. The lad has so much passion and love for our club, that will have hurt him, just as much as it hurt us. As for Sakho's chance, that was another glorious opportunity for us. Again, I love Sakho, and no one can really dig him out too much about the miss, but the reality with his chance, you can see he slightly bottled it. He took his eye off the ball as saw the keeper coming and knew that he was going to get clattered. As a result he didn't get any real contact on the ball. If he's braver in that instance, he scores, it's that simple. I will agree that his main weakness does indeed to seem to be aerially - on the deck he's top notch, and his distribution is extremely slick. His aerial ability or strength doesn't quite match the high quality of his other attributes, but in general if you play him alongside someone like Dann who is an attacker of the ball aerially, it's fine defensively as they compliment each other well (one attacks, one sweeps). Schlupp gives effort, and is a tryer. He does an ok job in general. Again he's played out of position most of the time so it's always hard to be fair on someone who's not playing their natural game and is sacrificing that to help the team. As for Sako, I think we'll all agree that he's simply not good enough to play in the side full stop, let alone lead the line. I know he had a great record at Wolves, but to me, looking at him physically I personally think he looks to heavy and cumbersome. He certainly was not as 'big' as his current shape when at Wolves, which I'd suggest must also be a contributing factor to his struggle to perform (especially even more so that we're all told that PL players have never been fitter and or cover more metres than ever before). At the end of the day, it's been another gutting result for us. We've again not got we deserved, and unfortunately it's becoming a bit too frequent now, which makes it a real concern when you live in hope that 'luck' evens itself out over the course of a season (as the old saying goes). The big worry for me is that we're playing pretty well at the moment, and sadly not getting the points on the board that should merit that. I know that we'll play badly, and again we won't get points, so that then makes me question - if you don't get points when you do play well, you aren't ever going to get any points full stop are you (unless you're one of the top sides, who have those winning traits of being able to win games still when playing poorly)? The underlying issue is as we all know, we need that striker that will tuck some of those chances away. Until that happens and or Benteke returns and or more importantly finds some form I can't see it changing any time soon, and one thing we don't have from here is time, we need points now from the next match onwards. Edited by Forum Ref (05 Nov 2017 8.36pm) A very good post. Only thing I would add is that as it turns out we have played a lot of the teams in best form like Man City, Spurs - and Burnley, and are about to play a lot of teams who are struggling with form and lower in the league. Hopefully by early December Benteke will be back, and even Wickham will be nearer to playing. And in January we have the chance to sign 3 or 4 players who could make a difference. Sure we have to pick up points fairly consistently now, but we are in with a chance to do that.

I'm not sure that you understand the point of a discussion forum. Surely there is no doubt that Zaha has improved a lot over 18 months just like there is no doubt that if he had taken the easy chance presented to him yesterday we may well have either won or drawn the game which makes your post all the more stupid Originally posted by Mr Palaceman

Add a decent striker to the team that played yesterday and you've got a pretty good outfit I reckon. Hope Tekers will be up for it when he comes back. Upgrade the keeper position, reinforce at right back and get a good replacement for McArthur and we should certainly be in business for the second half od the season.

We will get points away soon but I do worry that the gap is already getting to big to close but I will keep the faith

However, I do have an issue with pretending to be a fan. He's been trolling the site for a while now, if his comments were in the away section, no problem...
