No. I'm loving it. The fact that the team are still 'together' and playing well is what Palace have always been about. Good effort is what I want to see. Mistakes, missed chances and temporary loss of form are inevitable. It happens to all teams. But I can still see them trying their best. It's what sport is all about. Yes, it's a results business, but exciting football is better than winning at all costs. I don't think we will go down this season. The guys on the pitch don't think so either, based on today's performance. Get behind them. They deserve it.

To be brutally honest I am finding it difficult to find 3 teams who will finish below us. We are all "Straw clutching" on here, looking at the number of games left and hoping for some major revival but alas on the balance of probabilities we won't do enough to finish outside of the bottom 3.This is the grim reality of our plight and prospects. I agree.

Yep, I'd rather be playing well and not winning. Then not playing well and steeling the odd result. That only papers over the cracks. IMO we're playing the best in a very long time, and results will come.

Reason we can clutch is because once upon a time Tony Pulis did the job from almost exactly the same position and with a weaker team. Which is as meaningless as last Saturday's lottery numbers are for next Saturday's.

Over a season luck evens out,So the second half of the season will be spectacular,Speroni will score a few punting the ball upfield. Townsend will get a couple of deflections off his 'arris.A few scorpion kicks will fly in and everyone will wonder what the start of the season was all about.

It's getting painful now. Sadly, at the end of the season you get no extra points for the opposition goalkeeper getting MOTM and there's no points for playing well and getting unlucky. The gap looks a little daunting now, a lot worse than last week. We do have some winnable games coming up but we have to win them. I thought that about Newcastle and West Ham and we got 1 point from 6. Just not gonna cut it sadly. Let's see where we are come Christmas but we're are definitely in the sh1t right now. And we're going to need something a bit special to get out of this one. It's the hope that kills you!
Now here's Wright, his first chance to see what he can do, and he's through, it's Wright, ohhhh what an impact by the substitute. And it's Ian Wright who's sent the Palace fans into ecstasy! |

I always try to be optimistic but I am a little worried by our lack of points. I think the way we have played is encouraging, I quite enjoyed yesterdays game apart from the goal of course. Despite my current concern, I think what is important, is that the players still seem to believe. I don't see heads down on the pitch or players that just don't care. Which gives me great hope that we will be OK. Remarkable for me, given the start we have had this season and the instability that comes with changing managers and untimely player injuries. I still think we will be OK and do believe that there are worst teams than us but in the back of my mind there is the nagging thought that those worst teams can still beat us when they are at their best and always raise their game against us. We do well against the top clubs currently, then fail to get the points against the Swansea's or Bournemouth's. We have a good chance of staying up still, as long as we are not really adrift by Christmas. It's the players attitude at the moment that gives me the most hope.

I’m totally relaxed about it. We’ve got the right manager making the right team selections, playing the right brand of football to get us out of bother.

“We need points and I’d have settled for playing much worse than we did and having a bit of good fortune, such as the ball deflecting past a goalkeeper or the referee awarding a penalty which isn’t. I’d have settled for that more than people trying to be kind to me and the team by suggesting we deserved a bit more than we actually got. In football, you get what you get, you don’t get what you deserve.”
