They should be remanded in custody and charged with offences relating to the terrorism act and if found guilty sentenced accordingly.

On the news the other day,it said over 400 already returned.really where the f*** are they. I'm always curious as to how they know. Like when they say x amount smuggled themselves into Syria or in this case, 400 have returned. Surely if the news agency had real information they'd be handing it over the police?

I don't see why they should be housed. I'd guess that the intelligence services will be on the case of all of those they can find. If they are co-operative they become an asset and get tracked, if they are not they may well be incarcerated if it can be proved. The rest of them? Well, they'll just live as best they can while MI5 try to hunt them down. I'm not against housing them, once they've served their 40 or so years for conspiracy to commit acts of terrorism etc.

can we rescind their citizenship and refuse them re-entry to the country. I appreciate that makes them someone else's problem (or still ours if they're a terror threat, but then they are already that anyway). There must be some deterrent and punishment for joining a war against our values and way of life. Otherwise it's quite an appealing prospect - go and join in a war, soak up the lifestyle and atmosphere, come home when you've had enough and life is back to normal

Pity we don't have a few 16th Century laws still in place, sent to the Tower of London, treated to a few of the lovely tortures they had had in those days then send them back to the Kurds as POWS.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |
