Another beautiful headed goal against Southampton, now 3 in 2 games. Just shows the folly of selling him when he was deemed 'not good enough' for the Premier League. We could certainly do with him now ... My understanding was he asked to be sold.

Parish tried to be ahead of the game when he sold Murray,he considered his age and thought £4 million was a good deal.Murray was never a nippy player but had a well grooved strikers Instinct sharpened by his days playing for Carlisle ,Rochdale etc.Parish then went on to leave us with only ONE proven striker at the start of this season, clearly we need a better chairman,I don't doubt his passion and love for the club but his football nouce is a major worry. If you need further convincing he demanded that Pardew (against his better judgement sign the fat boy Sako on silly wages.

When will we ever let this drop. Drives me bloody insane - talk about rose tinted glasses. When he left us in 2015 because he couldn't get a kick - went to Bournemouth same story. He is 34 playing in a very average side - who IMO will go down this season. Did you watch today's game - both sides were bloody awful - compare that to yesterday - do you really think he could mix it at that level - no way. Look Glen was an absolute star for us but that was 4 seasons ago. He ain't the same Glen Murray as he was 4 seasons or so ago, thanks for the memories Glen but we move on..!! You can never recreate yesterday's - it just doesn't work..!! Both sides were bloody awful you say, but sit in 8th and 12th in the league respectively.

Do you reckon he'll celebrate when he scores against us, as he inevitably will! I hope he doesn't because I still have a lot of time for him, but I suspect he might...

Jesus, Murray only ever cared for us when we were paying his wages. I have absolutely no problem with that. He did a great job, I'm very grateful and that's the end of it. He didn't hesitate to leave the weed for us and he didn't hesitate on returning, it's his job. Take off all the rose tinteds please.

theres alot of true points been said just sad we couldnt have used him more when here because he scored and created chances once he come back from injury, and how old was Phillips ,he would have been a good stop gap but he wanted to play so that doesnt make him a mercenary just someone who enjoyed playing think i have covered most points

Has got zero to do with him selling Murray years back when Murray asked to go for first team football. Can people stop twisting everything in the whole universe to fit their current agenda.
