This is the same as those who confuse not being happy with how things are runand going with somehow 'hating' Steve Parish. I don't care for his twitter account, karaoke or water boarding videos or Ferrari or aims of Dragons Den, even though he has no mass market or business to consumer experience outside of cpfc. So I don't care about his image, which he holds very dear. But I do care about how decisions are made and the way we've predictably been heading because of unnecessary and risky decisions.

tefted

The people who in reality have a right to be downright annoyed with SP are the ones who's life will be affected by relegation.
Programme sellers bar staff grounds people
( see that politically correct)
Me.... I'm a fan yes, it hurts and is annoying yes, invested ina ST yes but otherwise I'm not directly affected, apart from finanve.
I chose to buy that so my decision.
Not heard about those guys at all.
Are we as fans being a slight bit selfish.???
I will still have to work even if we won everything.
These guys and girls might need to find a job.

Never understand why the lowest paid staff are the ones let go to save money. The players/coaches are on fortunes, but the support staff peanuts, but they are sacrificed upon relegation. If you need to save money, trim the playing/coaching staff and hopefully they all have relegation clauses, so it should enable you along with sales to not throw people on the dole queue.
Luckily we're staying up, so it won't be necessary.

Weirdly DM I think we will survive
And then I reckon a learning process will have happened for SP
This has taught him a serious serious lesson.
I only have a gut feeling on survival so to all please don't ask on what basis I think that.
And I feel for the staff and like you don't know where they can't find the dough to keep them for at least the next season whatever happens.
Then help with finding new jobs if it really comes on top after that first season down.
Bit strange after what I just said but generlising.

So every time Parish repeats obvious errors nobody in the football world makes and takes liberties in the league with it we should appreciate we're not <insert worst tinpot team of the moment> when in fact we've had a great opportunity to make our stay a very long one without that much grief? Why else sign Sakho?

We've had 8 months to target and sign a striker and a keeper. The rest of the planet does it. Whatever 'goes on inside the offices' should be enough to solve that in 8 months.

This sense of entitlement? What, wanting more than 1 win and goal scored by one of our players in about 15 league games? That's a sense of entitlement is it? To have a striker?

This is one of the best times to be a Palace fan? Sorry but the last few months watching this predictably unfold, reading Parish's arrogant tweets suggesting there's nothing to worry about is anything but good. These issues are not surprises, but a player getting injured when we have no cover apparently is to an 18% shareholder who makes every decision it seems with very little appreciation for what can and does happen. I say that because I presume the ex Palace pros pipe up at some point.

'We are alive.' Yes the sun has come today as well. Yippee.

'It doesn't get much better.' I'm afraid it does, has, and if negligent risks weren't taken and some actual planning with people who know what they're doing was done, it would stay at a good level and not losing without scoring for months.

You bet we stay up? How much? £10? £1,000? £10,000? Everything you possibly can. What are you basing this on? Tactical analysis of 13 players v squads of 25 or 20 prem players with goals throughout their front players or blind faith?

You repeat the same thing everyday, it isn’t going to change the past.
Everton also failed to get a striker on deadline day, after selling Lukaku, it cost Koeman his job, not the Chairman.

Yeah we tried to buy one of their strikers. The arrogance of thinking a club will let go of them without time to replace them told in the Turkish press.

Somebody also signed an unbelievable amount of players with the Lukaku money when what they really needed was just a couple and Giroud or similar. Result was Koeman didn't know his best team, had to fit Rooney and Sigurdsson in and played them both wide when they never do. He lost it and went down the desperate round pegs in square holes route, only more expensive.

Rudi
I and many can see how much passion you have for this club.
It is something that we all feel and something that non football supporters may never feel.
It eats us up everytime a loss happens or a bad decision is made on or off the field.
I do understand it IS a blame game but sadly we aren't high enough up the food chain to affect it apart from with our feet.
At the moment that won't happen ,. It may in the future.
Things happen outside our control or knowledge of why.
We as fans really need to help with some positives.
I don't know how far back you can recall watching palace.
I remember 40 years
Many on here a few more.
Trust me all hope is not lost, period.
You will know that time and it isn't now
I promise you that.

Probably won't change the future either. Didn't after learning of the consequences with left back or def mid the season before. Def mid was exactly where Freedman highlighted our obvious deficiencies on tv last season so it's people who recognise this stuff who should be making the calls and not someone who thinks Campbell is enough or let's us unnecessarily risk ending up with Flamini or Kelly at left back or nobody to put the ball away when we deserve those 3 points we can't afford to chuck away. Make that 3 games every season.

You seem to think everything is so easy. Everton poached Steve Walsh who was lauded for bring players to Leicester to win the title, his efforts at Everton cost the manager his job.
Finding players that gel isn’t that easy, a lot of failures along the way.

SP could do what he did with abuse he's getting.
He won't though as he's got thicker skin than that.
I'm not an apologist for our situation though.

Abuse or constructive criticism? Most of what I have read - and written myself - is the latter. The fans haven't turned on him at Selhurst or owt.
