Every club like ours who think they have now cracked it in the Prem are always only one bad decision from disaster. We made that decision with De Boer when if reports are true that we could have got Dyche who would have definitely had us where Burnley now are. Charlton are a great example when they sacked Curbishley

What people, in their haste to blame Parish for everything, forget is that we need to;
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

I don’t think we will ever truly become a long term properly established Permier League club until the stadium issue is resolved. I think the Board fully recognise this but it is also the biggest short and medium term gamble the club can make. Let’s face it, there are a good number of Championship sides with far better facilities than we have and others who play in lovely but empty stadiums even lower down. Catch 22 I’m afraid. Better stadium attracts more fans and more revenue, helping FFP and attracting better players etc etc. However the cost and potentially getting it wrong could lead to disaster. Whoever in control has that quandary (not easy that’s for sure) but sooner or later a decision has to be made. Until then it’s our elephant in the room. We don’t really look like nor act like a “big league” club and we are currently caught in the middle of no mans land

Or did someone also hold a gun to his head and make him keep Delaney? Stop making fvck ups and delaying the inevitable because it costs more later on. I suppose you have an excuse for that as well.

That cannot be true,they win games and have a well established manager and they are currently in eighth position in the Premier League. They have beeter keepers than ours for starters.

Posters saw years ago in the Pulis saga that something stunk with SP - and they were duly lambasted by all the SP-lickers and some others that have now seen the light. Three or four years ago there were three of us who often pointed out that we didn't think that SP was the godlike figure that others portrayed him as and we were regularly vilified for our views. Having said that, I'm not sure that I agree with the rest of your post which is why I have only quoted the bit that I do agree with Edited by Midlands Eagle (25 Oct 2017 5.58pm)

It's so nice hearing you guys talk the truth. There are so many people on this forum that think SP is our saviour, and the CPFC God etc etc. Even though I am grateful for having a CPFC to support, we need to focus on the now and not the passed.

Steve Parrish and the Boards silence speaks a thousand words , they know they have screwed up and they also know they can`t correct the situation until the next window opens (as per normal ). Parish and the original board being business men have reduced their Liabilities in CPFC by bringing in the 2 Americans who now have a Substantial stake in the club and recently it was reported an Australian guy wanting to get on the board as a new investor which would again dilute the shareholdings of the current directors.This to me smacks as if Parrish is looking for a WAY-OUT by divesting his shareholdings. Add to this that a numbers of players contracts are coming to an end and with Roy I think signing a 2 year deal only , I can see the scenario with palace relegated Roy taking charge for his last year in the championship and Parish ducking out .
