He has a very good scoring record for England U21's,U19's,U17's & U16's & Chelski youth teams.

He has only scored 1 goal in 22 appearances for the Chelski 1st team but alot of those were coming on as a sub & not as a striker.

I'm not saying its ideal playing him upfront but I think it would be our best option at the moment. He is strong enough to keep hold of the ball & not bad with his head.

The cross-shot that PVA nearly turned in was not on target so perhaps not a good idea. Give Ladapo 90 mins at Bristol City and see what he can do.

Ladapo is one of our 3 strikers. We need a striker, play him there. Rubin is more like a number 10, play him there. Reckon he can do the job better than Schlupp, despite him doing better than expected.

In lieu of how impotent we were yesterday against Newcastle, it would perhaps make sense to revert Townsend and Zaha back to their wing jobs and put Loftus-Cheek up front.

Although it's not his natural position, he's arguable got the attributes to succeed in that role, particularly given his imposing build and quick bursts of speed against opposition.

Although we were more than stable against Newcastle, we weren't threatening enough in the final third and every time we got the ball into wide positions, we'd didn't know what to do since there was no one in the middle.

Surely, it's worth a try...

Thoughts.

We were the better team yesterday. Panicking and swapping the team as well as the system around every single time we get a negative result will only serve to confuse the players.
It worked against Chelsea. It should have worked against Newcastle, for me the Toon got lucky. It'll work against West Ham.
Leave it alone, let the players continue to work and improve within a system they are still getting used to.

Ladapo is our only fit striker, surely he should af least be on the bench?

As an out and out forward a definite no but as an attacking central midfielder linking up with the wingers a definite 'yes'.

We need him in ht game as much as poss and being a centre-forward would hinder that.

I agree and think had he been 100% match fit Roy may well have gone with that option.

I'm not sure about RLC as a striker. He looks so good running at people from midfield. As others have said the only certainty for me is that he should be on the pitch for 90 mins.

I think a trio of Townsend, Zaha and Loftus-Cheek ought to be quite powerful. You can mix it up and vary the attack. Zaha and Townsend as against Chelsea with Loftus-Cheek bursting through or feeing them, play them as wingers with Loftus-Cheek centre-forward, or swap Loftus-Cheek with one winger or another.

I wanted to see this at Newcastle but respected views on here regarding keeping a winning team, but that was as much to do with Cheek's fitness as much as the winning team continuity reason. I would've liked Cheek on for Cabaye about 45-55 mins onwards to have this happening when more open but with fitness issues you have to respect the manager. Also you could end up with too many subs in certain areas of the pitch and that being a certain reason for losing. Still frustrating as a fan though.

I remember hearing a while back that Xheslea fans don't arte RLC as good finisher.

I feel true we may do better trying someone else up top. Part of me suspects the pressure gets to him in front of goal. But maybe on the flip side a stint up top will get him over that.
