Not sure exactly what you lot want.
Last season from 8th to 17th there was a difference of 6 points.
Very fine lines.
The club are doing great to be competing in it.
Anyone of those positions would be marvellous for our club.
Fifth season enjoy it while it lasts.

Palace 13th 2017/18.

Steve Parish. He doesnt know what he is doing, bottom line. No other chairman would have presided over the epic balls up that was the last transfer window and then FDB. If Parish stays, we will never ever establish ourselves properly, as his decision making is abysmal. He needs to find a suitable buyer and duck out, because he is the most culpable person on the planet as to why we are so bad right now. He cannot, or will not learn, not sure which but it doesnt matter really does it, point is he isnt learning, making the same errors time and time and time again. We cannot succeed with him calling the shots.

I don't mean this in an aggressive way but enjoy what exactly? A miracle win against Chelsea does not nullify going almost 1/4 of a season without even scoring and looking like continuing in that fashion with no striker. We are being humiliated on an unprecedented scale and it's possibly worse in the prem as it's in the spotlight.

We have competed but are no longer. The same mistakes are made season after season which I believe is the definition of insanity.

Maybe a few additions in Jan might make the second half of the season bearable but to call this embarrassing is a gross understatement.its painful.

Football is contextual and I do not buy in to 'at least we're in the prem' - I'd rather be competitive in the championship this season.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

We also didn't score in 4 of the last 5 last season. Parish wasn't concerned or just doesn't get it. Dougie lost his voice and then goes to watch Cenk when he's out of our reach. Amateurs. Typical us and I hate it. The money will evaporate next season and we'll be teased with more BS and patronising marketing campaigns.

Tune into hol for half gradual realisation of this shower and half sycophantic nonsense in defence of the indefensible. That's why this cr@p I've given up on this year. People defend the cr@p all summer and on and on and on when it's glaringly obvious where it's heading. The same way as last year, only no way back this time.

Whether we stay up or not - having one striker was bonkers and highlighted on here repeatedly - that string of zeroes didn't seem to register with the leadership.

We have no right to stay in this division. We have achieved a record (for us) 5th year in the prem so we are doing something right. Oh sorry it's all been luck. Come on, give credit where it is due.
Embarrassing is multiple administrations, years of wilderness in the third division, consecutive relegations, selling the stand to Sainsburys.
Enjoy the roller coaster, we still have a chance of staying up again. This league is all about taking risks with the handicap that half the league have the money to do whatever they like and are all but guaranteed to stay up.
Anybody remember our first stint in the top division. We lasted 4 years and went down after we spent a fortune in the last year and lost our soul somewhat. Spending money just doesn't guarantee any success.

Not scouting players enough is a recipe for overspending.

The left back fiasco means you have to buy 2 for more than you would've done to correct the mistake.

Not having a striker guarantees failure and is a repeat of LB.

I've been supporting Palace a long time and I know when it's cyclically inevitable we're going down due to our size and/or squad ageing, not being able to do this or that and this is not one of those occasions. At least it's not down to investing in golf clubs and personal wealth but it's the complete opposite from being clever over the rest of the football community. Thinking you can get away with that kind of thinking is only going to take you one way, which parish will feel the pain over and probably the only way he'll learn in this sport because he sure as hell hasn't before.

I agree our scouting hasn't been good enough and should have been addressed by now. Seems harder these days with the big clubs mopping up loads of players and loaning them out. I also agree that we've made the same mistake and that ultimately Parish is responsible. Would be nice to know what really happened as I do not, for one minute, think he is as naive as it looks to us. I suspect it was a complicated set of circumstances that put us in this position without a striker.

This is the kind of thing I'm talking about. Doesn't happen anywhere else yet it's quite understandable or excusable for Palace. And with a mute sporting director for 10 days before deadline day as well. We knew about this issue when Wickham last got injured and that Campbell regret is the naive you claim Parish definitely is not.

He'll have to take his championship medicine and so will we. For how many years with the cladding and fanzone as a reminder of what could've been we'll find out. I hope freedman is preparing for the championship as well as looking at the out of reach Cenk because if it's left to Parish we're relying on again the very best championship manager to be available and to want to come and do it.

We arrived in the Premiership with -
1. Ian Holloway then had
2. Keith Millen temporarily who sat back for
3. Tony Pulis who was a silly arse (in the end) and left so that
4. Keith Millen could take charge again until
5. Neil Warnock arrived but he was apparently only warming the seat for
6. Alan Pardew (who was preceded temporarily by Millen again) who far outstayed his welcome and did untold damage to CPFC until he was sacked and
7. Sam Allardyce stepped in to keep us up but left so we spent months interviewing people until we employed
8. Frank De Boer who was sacked so fast it was ridiculous so we then employed
9. Roy Hodgson - to be continued.........
No stability or continuity is letting us down.
Circumstance and poor judgement at the top of the pile are to blame in equal measure but the list above will probably do for us this Season.
Hodgson is really only short term as well so we never learn.

This season the awful start has made us very edgy, luck Is not going our way and other teams feed shark like from our air of nervousness,It is nothing that three wins will not put right but that needs to be now and not then.
