Like pinochet? Well, if Pinochet had believed in owning the means of production I've little doubt that he'd have talked to him. You can't fawn over Castro and castigate Pinochet and be taken seriously as a person who cares too much. Both of them had regimes where those who disagreed with them were taken to ditches and shot in the back of the head. Corybn loved one and hated the other.

Nick can because he is a total hypocrite.

A good appointment. Zimbabwe has a good health service run for its citizens on an equal basis. It is like other third world countries doing the best it can with what resources it has. I remember the NHS sending staff to Cuba to see what a good health service could do. Should be a shot in the arm for Mugabe to do more but he won't be running to borrow and bankrupt his country. Remind you of somewhere?

I wasn't joking. Jeremy and friends have previous for being friendly with murderers. Not unlike Theresa and chums being rather friendly with the Saudis, of course.

The relationships with the House of Saud are business ones. We also traded with Cuba, despite Castro murdering his opponents. Doing business with Saud is the least worse option compared to strengthening Iran. We have consistently, as have the US argued for democratic principles. We recently see women being allowed to learn to drive. This is a step forward that having no western influences would probably not have realised. We reject damaging Saudi influence into this country, which isn't easy considering our acceptance of Muslims who come with some of their cultural attitudes.

Just had to look at the thread title to know it was Hrolf or Hedghog making a tenuous connection between some random news story and blaming it on left wing politics.

Edited by Stirlingsays (21 Oct 2017 12.41pm) So, so wrong and just bollocks. You do know they are are still getting permission to build their mosques here, don't you? Their money talks. We reject fvck all about them and any criticism of them from those in power is whispered. We, the United Kingdom, are in fear of them and their power and that disgusts me. They are enablers of all things extreme about Islam. And we suffer from that. You just want to sweep it under the flying carpet too.
