I know the temptation is to keep it the same, but if RLC is fit then we need to try and find a place for him in the side. He is a class above and if fully fit is the best midfielder at the club (albeit we're borrowing him). Personally I would go with:

Speroni

Ward--Dann--Sakho--PvA

RLC--Cabaye--Luka--McArthur

Townsend--Zaha

Schlupp to my mind is the one to replace as I don't think he seems 100% sure of what he should be doing. Against Chelsea Townsend appeared to be dropping back when necessary to cover Ward, which I could see him doing again, and with RLC's box-to-box qualities we could be devastating on the break.

If we come out with energy and passion then this should be a great game.

I put Schlupp at LB and drop PVA. He doesn't seem to have found his feet yet and you might argue that game time provide the form, I wonder if we have time to give him.

RLC can wait if necessary, but think of the improvement to the team if he does come in. Shouldn't rush him back too soon IMO.

I think home form will help the Toon, but we will score up there.

I think Roy could swap RLC for Shlupp.
Or at least give him game time from the bench which will ease him in for the following weeks starting line up!

I wouldn't change a thing from last week.

It was an enforced change last week and I believe that our strongest team has RLC in it. I won't be unhappy if it's the same starting 11, as the title of the thread states it's merely a suggestion

cant blame roy for keeping a winning team thought wayne & rlc would get their spots back tho.

It would appear that Roy agrees

If Hennessey and Loftus-Cheek want to be in the starting lineup they'll have to win their place back, just like anyone else.

i get you...but look at how positive rlc has been, him in a team with zaha & confidence.

still, confident we can get 3 points today and maybe move of the bottom

He'll almost certainly be a sub at some point; I'm sure Roy will want to see how he performs in this improved side.
