Novara is a pretty good leftist site and podcast. A lot less 'tabloid' than the Canary. Also Peter Stefanovic is good at cutting through bulls***. Worth following him on the tweet thing

Milo missed a calling, he'd have been a very good comedian. Being a openly right wing comedian is about as useful for your career as being openly gay in the fifties....remember, it's only diversity that they want....not actual diversity. When you watch a lot of Milo like I do you notice that he's looking for a niche.....I kind of get the impression that he's too into the coke and fame at the moment to take anything too seriously other than publicity. He gets by on his intellect without really using it much for anything serious. When the looks fade a bit I can see him doing some form of comedy or stopping all that ridiculous giggling and trying for a right wing establishment commentator thing.....probably end up with a show on Fox. But it really doesn't take a genius to work out that places like The Canary, Guido Fawkes, PJW, Milo etc. base their output on half truths and selected evidence to appeal to a base (which I guess you could also attribute to a lot of the mainstream press in a sense). What I really don't like is that so much of the output plays on peoples fears and builds up anger and resentment and amplifies issues that in reality, in day to life, really aren't that big a deal.

It's not alt-right speak....I'm not alt-right either as that's a buzzword for white nationalism. I'm a nationalist but not on racial terms. In terms of postmodernism....It's not easy to define exactly but I'll have a go...A modernist believes in the institutions that created the modern world. The systems that run it. The cultural attitudes they were brought up in. The roles within society ete ete.....So a modernist is for the modern world....but perhaps the one of twenty years ago. A postmodernist questions all of those aspects of modernism. They don't accept any of them and want to break down and redefine it. I like a touch of postmodernism in some areas but mostly I think it's not useful. Most people are a combination of modernist and postmodernist in reality.....But some are more one than the other......So reading that post I had the impression that you are a postmodernist. I'm more of a modernist....but I like some aspects of postmodernism. Edited by Stirlingsays (20 Oct 2017 4.22pm)
